It took 5 months to tell him how i felt, and when i did he had felt the same way the whole time as well. I confessed my feelings at his going away party though, a week before he plans on moving. Should I tell him that I dont want him to leave, ( for a better job) or is that being selfish of me? How should I go about this? What should I tell him?

Let it go, and continue being friends with him. If the feelings last then start making decisions about living closer to each other.

If the feelings are strong enough, see if he can use a roommate. If they are not, let fate decide for you.

i think that you should talk to him about what to do next. i dont think you should tell him to stay but maybe you should go with him
