Singles & Dating - 20 November 2006

Here's the long and short of it:

A few years ago I became great friends with one of my co-workers.
He got married, and I started hanging out with him and his wife. She had a best friend who was away at college but about to graduate. After our first meeting I really began to like her. Not so much and infatuation, but just really taken by her.
She graduated college and moved home that summer. We talked and they tried and tried to hook us up.
The only time my true feelings came out was when I got drunk but other then that I was too scared to mess up the friendship.

When she gets drunk she really seems to like me too.

I just don't get why we aren't together after months of supposedly liking eachother. I've put other potential lady friends on the back burner because of this and I feel like it's hurting my love life.

I really feel like she might be the one but it seems that she may not want to be with me but doesn't want me with anyone else.

Should I just give up? HELP!

Well, I'm 16, shes 17. She goes to my Church Group [ Called new Song]. Well I have a huge crush on her. She's single. I allways look at her and show her some signs and a few times she glances at me. For example one time i started talking about a girl infront of my friend [she sits at the same table] and she starts to bust up laugining. Well, she looked down Saturday, so i got her myspace URL from her brother and added her. on her profile she had a blog comment ('Im stressed out today pray for me'). So, i sent her a message 'you looked stressed out today you ok?'. She removed the messsage on her blog, and never responds to me. Could she be blowing me off? Should i send her a message saying whats up? I dont want to annoy her, force her to talk to me, As somebody told me if she likes me my chances would have allready been good. I barly know her and want to get to know her a bit better. IM HELLA SHY. Overly SHY! If i should message her what should it say? Thanks.

I've been noticing this guy lately... we've hung out a few times randomly in groups and I felt like we got along really well when we were together. It kind of felt like something "clicked" between the two of us, but maybe it was just me. Anyways, I think he's kind of shy because whenever I see him at an event we're both at, he always leaves right away when it's done and I never get a chance to talk with him. What's the best way to get to know him without it being obvious that I'm kind of interested in him? (I don't want to scare him off, I just want to get to know him as a friend first) But if I never get to talk to him, well, it would be a bit awkward to just phone him up or something. I was about to talk to him last time I saw him but he just jumped up and left the second it was over! I'm usually attracted to guys that do the initiating, but there's something different about this guy and I'm really interested in getting to know him. Any ideas as to how?

I've heard a few girls say they do and I was just wondering if that is common and why some girls feel the need to seem less intelligent than they really are. Personally, I kind of have a thing for brainy girls and really like it when they can match wits with me and surprise me with the content of their minds.

I like this girl, really much

She doesnt like to wear dresses etc
Ger personality is really outgoing

I been having this big crush on her for about over 1yr now.
So this year i finially took some action and started to talk to her and etc.
We talk alot over MSN and in real life
Recently i noticed she started to tell me personal stuff like how she is pissed off at her family, or arguements,
how she doesnt like this or that
her fav. TV shows etc
Also she told me that she likes this doll and is thinking of collecting it

What does this mean?
Is she seeing me no more than a mere friend or what?
I wonder what can i do to show her that i really love her?

I'm not into at all...make it a point to be mean to me, look at me like like I'm disgusting, make funny, etc...
...stop and stare at me...and when he realized it was me...feel stupid and try and acknowledge me, but then after that go back to try and make me feel bad about myself? Notice I say attempt bc I never took him seriously, but what was the point to all of this??

Okay so I likedthis guy on and off for the past year. And so as he. When I started to like him...he didn't like me...and when he started to like me...I didn't like him cuz i was going out with someone. During the summer, we both ended up liking each other but he didn't want to ask me out cuz he had family problems. As a result...he broke my heart cuz he told me friend that he liked me for the wrong reasons. But now...we've become closer friends and at times I see myself flirting with him. Plz help me seriously im crying?
my bf abused me coz his best friend is all the time proving him tht im a cheap gurl n im very bad n not worth talking etc. now he has started believing him. his friend proved him tht i went on a date with another guy on 5th nov. whereas i was very sick tht day n was all day at home with my parents.he believed him n abused me through text mesging. he had stopped calling me 4-5 months back n now stopped looking at me n mesging me even. tht frind is always with him. i cant contact him coz he has abused me im totally helpless now. i loved him so much but his friend has done so bad . When I was a kid I watched this episode of "The 13 ghosts of Scooby Doo." In it an evil wizard wanted Daphne (the hot red head) to be his bride so he trapped her in this glass case and cast a spell on her to put her to sleep. While she slept he hypnotized her to want to marry him. When I was a kid I found this very cool...but as I got older the idea turned me on more and more.
