I've been noticing this guy lately... we've hung out a few times randomly in groups and I felt like we got along really well when we were together. It kind of felt like something "clicked" between the two of us, but maybe it was just me. Anyways, I think he's kind of shy because whenever I see him at an event we're both at, he always leaves right away when it's done and I never get a chance to talk with him. What's the best way to get to know him without it being obvious that I'm kind of interested in him? (I don't want to scare him off, I just want to get to know him as a friend first) But if I never get to talk to him, well, it would be a bit awkward to just phone him up or something. I was about to talk to him last time I saw him but he just jumped up and left the second it was over! I'm usually attracted to guys that do the initiating, but there's something different about this guy and I'm really interested in getting to know him. Any ideas as to how?

try to find out what he likes and tell him to be honest about what he says and then say "you never know i might like the same thing too" and if he walks away just tell him to sit with you if he wants, try get him to feel like he can sit with you, that you are actually interested
