Singles & Dating - 10 October 2006

A couple days ago I got caught lying by my fiance. For the past year I have said I do not smoke pot, but I've been going behind her back and getting high every once in a while when she's at work. She found out and said "she can't trust me anymore" and I think she might leave me. I've come forward and accepted blame for my lying and want to be held accountable for my lying. She said she doesn't know if she will ever get over being lied to by me and I think our relationship could over. I am now very depressed b/c I might have messed up the relationship w/ the love of my life. Anyone have any advice? Is there anything more I can do besides apologize, never lie to her again and be held accountable for this?

Finding out the first time really hurt, the second is such a shock because I believed him when he said that he wouldn't do it again. So much for his being an "honest", "truthful" man, huh? Worst part is finding out the site and reading his profile where he's lying about not being in a relationship, and seeing that all these other women are being taken in by his charm

no, i don't want one of you-im asking this question: how do you get guys to the point where it would not be awkward to ask them to the dance-and fast, b/c i don't have much time. i know, i need to go talk to someone-anyone-but how? what do i say? it is never convienient. im always having a class or something. what do you say to a guy you've never talked to much before, but are interested in, and are trying to get to know him well enough to ask him out? also, what is a signal that he is ready to be asked? im not looking for stupid answers!!!! best answers awarded for good answers.

I'm in my 50s secure, single and just decided to look. (Wife passed 12yrs ago). Seems I get a lot of wise cracks, answers from kids who don't have a clue about age, for obvious reasons.,and useless bull which makes me think dating today is a joke. Alright, gonna put the past 9 months in a nut shell to shorten this up. I am involved with a girl with a child and an ex-husband. I came into this relationship with my eyes wide open, I knew that the ex-hub was always gonna be around because they had a child together. No big deal, right? Well things went smoothly for a while we had our arguements and our fights, but about 3 months ago she told me she just wanted to be alone to think things through. Said she couldnt move on from her marriage and that she was going to try and fix things. (they were only divorced a year when I came into the picture) So I leave, we still talk everyday and whatnot. Well it came down to it and the ex said no he didnt want to get back together. But now because she cant afford her bills shes moving in with him and telling me that she still wants to be with me... That nothing is going on and that she really was never attracted to him she only wanted to fix things for their son.... What to do? Sorry for length.

I'm currently in a relationship, and have been before. But with this girl, it seems nothings changed besides when we were friends. On the weekends we go out, and we hold hands and hug and have a good time, but while attending school we really don't show too well that we are dating. An ex of mine has always wanted a baby but never wanted to get married. Well, now she's pregnant (she doesn't know who the father is, and no it's not mine. we broke up two years ago) and is asking me for money. What I'd like to know is should I tell her to meet some place and stand her up or should I make her have sex with me before I pretend to give her the money (I won't actually give it to her, wel maybe half upfront and then renege on the deal)?
