Last year, my boyfriend's parents bought me a really nice outfit for Christmas, but I didn't get them anything 'cause I didn't know they cared. I made them cookies at the last minute, but this year I'd like to be prepared.

Buy them a RICE COOKER or maybe just loving their son will be enough! Maybe you could try asking your boyfriend what you should get them! He could find out for you!
And that rice cooker thing was just a joke. Giving them a kitchen appliance would probably just piss them off and they'd get your bf to dump you!

Aww...so sweet. Anything works, really! Just the fact that you made cookies in a show of appreciation/caring is great! Not normally do people get gifts for their partners parents, so just the thought and gestures are nice.

Well, have you paid attention to things they like or collect?

A safe gift might be a gift certificate to a nice place for a dinner out for the 2 of them

Well my 1st question is what do they like to do? Are you looking at a joint gift or separate? I always believe that you can't go wrong with a gift certificate. The list for something like that is endless. Movies, restaurants, shopping you name it and they have gift certificates for it. This way they can choose what they want. My Dad loves getting them from Gander Mountain. Hope this helps.

If you are over 21 and they drink, I'd say a nice bottle of wine. Otherwise a beautiful plant is always nice. Of course, so are home made cookies like you did last year; a handmade gift is always appreciated.

That was sweet of you to make them cookies. Maybe this year they'd like tickets to the theater or a concert. Or perhaps a gourmet coffee gift basket. A big "coffee table" book on something they like? It depends on your budget and what their interests are.

Ask your beau what kind of things each of his parents enjoy so you can get them individual gifts. OR check out the nic nacs througout the house and try to get something similar as a gift to them as a couple.

how about a gift certificate to a nice restaurant ? It doesn't have to be fancy, just a nice, comfortable place that they would love to go.
