I need to learn how to make friends. And no, talking to new people won't help much. I thought it only depends on the people themselves, not us. If they want to be friends with us, they will continue the conversation. How do I tell people apart?

There is no magic way of determining whether someone will want to be friends prior to talking to them. Although they have books on body language and facial expressions, the best way I know is getting out there and taking the chance.

Personally I never had great success just walking up and talking to someone. My best success at meeting people who I wanted to continue seeing was being involved in something like sports, volunteer work, or some other group activity.

I'm not too sure. I just moved here but this may be a good start for you. Just think of things you like to do like dancing or hanging out at the park or things like that people are everywhere. It just takes others to talk 2 them. Hope i helped some Tabbicat2006

Best place to make friends is to put yourself in an enviroment in which you goto all the time like work, school, the gym, or something you are interested in etc. When you start seeing the same faces all the time its a little easier to strike up a conversation.

My brother thought that you make friends by the stuff you have or how many funny things or how bad you are but just be your self and I know talking to people will not help but just chat a little bit and hang out with them you should be just fine!

i dont know how old you are but to make friends is very easy.. as you talk to people you might want to initiate exchanging numbers.. call to say hello.. invite your new friends in your life for dinner or drinks..stc.. the key of friendship is keeping them.. is loyalty and true concern.. you dont need ten friends or twenty.... if one or two are true friends and the ones you trust the most then you are blessed.. the others are just acquaintances...good luck

Just keep talking to people. There's bound to be a lot out there who you can really relate with. And always be friendly no matter how unfriendly others seem.

no one want to be apart, because no one wants to be lonely. Making friends with others is very simple. There are many ways to do so such as; smile, say hi, helping, holding the door for them, and give them perfect look. hihi

start by associating with like minded people, similiar interests ie music, comics, whatever. people are usually guarded and not trusting so don't come off as creepy. what about making friends w/ coworkers? i know like 4 couples who are in love and met online. there is another avenue for friendship
