my husband is at work and normally i feel totally at ease in the house by myself. Never frightened or uncomfortable.
but tonight my neighbours are having a bit of a party in their backyard.
we have no fence (can't afford one yet) and the friends keep looking over at and into my house and standing next to my garage loudly talking about what I own...
it's making me edgy and i'm too uncomfortable to go outside.
has this ever happened to you? what did you do?

should i stay inside and avoid any confrontation from drunk boys that are yelling and being silly? or should i face my fears and hang out the washing...?

okay so theres this guy that talks to me a lot for no real reason, and is kinda childish in the sence that he thinks it's funny to take my stuff and run. He asked me out a couple of years ago and I said no, I'm not all that sure that I like him but i just really want to know. He also says bad things to me a lot, but I don't think it's actually him being "mean." Also, a few of my friends who know him better than me say bad things about him. He also helped another guy last year and the year before to ask me out (but he did instead.) Also, if he does like me and I decide that it's worth a try, than how (consitering I shut him down once before and everyone laughed at him) do i let him know..... I'm too shy to ask him out or tell him straight up... so ya, help me.... any way that I can test to see if he does like me at all without a doubt, or close to it, well.. actually anything at all? He also asks me things like what I'm doing for halloween etc, and also if I'm going to the dance..help?

My boyfriend's co-worker is getting married the same day as my college's homecoming game. I can't go to both as they start at the same exact time.

My boyfriend really wants me to go to the wedding, but I don't really know the person (people) getting married. I don't think I've even met them.

My college is doing really well this season. We are ranked in the top 5 this upcoming weekend., and there are only 2 more home games left. It's my senior year. And since I am graduating, it is the last year I get to be in the student section. (which is the best place to be for a college football game) The other home game is the day after Thanksgiving, and at least half of my friends aren't going. All (except one) of my friends are going to the homecoming game.

I've had some friends tell me to pick one; some friends told me to do the other. I decided to see what others might do. Which would you pick?

that they can only perform once or twice a week? It doesn't sound fair, does it, but is that what it's all about?
(Of course, I know that some women hang in there indefinitely for an assortment of reasons.)

so- i went on this date with a guy that works in the same building as i do- different companies, but the same building. Well, when i got to his apt, he was completely wasted, and kept talking about how this girl i work with wants him to take her out.. .. after sitting there listening to that, and being completely uncomfortable, i just got up and left. Well, like 2 weeks later, he calls me and tells me how sorry he is- and that he wants to take me to dinner to make it up to me, and that he should have never drank before i even got there and he wants to show me the real him... mind you- he did end up taking that girl out and it didnt work, i cant help but feel that im just 2nd best. What do yall think? Should i let him take me out? It is a free dinner and you never know, or should i just forget about it?

We have a 12 year old neighbor girl who comes over EVERY day after school. I don't mind her coming over once in a while, but she brings her friends, cousins, anyone who happens to be visiting. I have a 12 month old son, who she adores, but she is always changing his diaper (even when he doesn't need it), changing his clothes, which makes tons of extra laundry. Today, I was so fed up, I didn't answer the door when she knocked. After pounding on the door for 5 minutes, she gave up and went home. And yes, her mother is home the entire time. Advice please?

my friends half-sister is mixed (black and white). She looks white, you would never think she was black (blonde hair, light skin, no dominant black features). Her mom is lighter than most black people so that could be why. My husband is mixed as well and he also looks white...Anyways, the little baby cries when black people are around her, she cried at my husband's mom and his uncle...(she never cries around people and they were the only black people around) I'm 8 months pregnant and I worry my baby will be scared of his family. I really don't want him around them though because they are all ghetto freaks (won't get into it) ....Why do you think the little girl cries??

As soon as his friend heard we went on a date, he called him up and said "I heard she is moody." A few weeks later he emailed him framing me for saying things I would NEVER - trying to get my bf upset with me. His buddy and his wife have put me on guilt trips saying that my bf has a room at their house and used to stay there every Saturday and spend every Sunday all day there (until I came along). This couple is never together, as he's always out drinking with the boys - or himself! He's started up with stories again, but I'm 19 weeks pregnant and can't deal anymore - it's out of control. I'm to the point where I don't care if my bf is gone, next weekend I plan to see my family without him (4.5hrs away) so this guy can get out of my face and have him all to himself. Only my bf is invited out (movies, golf, etc.) His buddies 30th bday party is in a couple weeks, I don't want to go (mine was yesterday, didn't get a "happy bday" from him... I'm thinking of a no-show, is it ok?

That I want to be a stay at home mom for some part of my life?

I'm planning on getting through my credentialing to become a high school teacher and then when kids come want to stay home (and write, preferably, which I've always done).

Why do people have a problem with this?

My sister in law is very actractive and is always flirting with me. My wife says that she has always been a flirt and does not think nothing about it. My sister in law came up to me recently and wispered in my ear that she would like to have sex with me and that she would keep things quiet. I didn't really respond but looked at her with a supprised smile. She told me to think about it. Unfortunately that is all that I have thought about. I'm not sure if I can trust her and think that perhaps that she and my wife may be pulling a prank on me. But then again she may not be kidding. Should I take the oppertunity and go for it, or should I pass. I'll feel that I will be dammed either way, A. if I go for it I may feel guilty for the rest of my life, and B. if I don't then I may later feel bad that I missed my chance. I'm not getting any younger and I know that as you get older these kind of things dont' come around as much.

I understand that in most cases an abuser will not change, it is a never ending cycle and that change can only happen if the abuser really wants it and admits readily to their bad behavior. What I would like to know is if there is anyone who has been a victim and witnessed a change in the abuser? I realize this would be a rare occurrence. Is there anything specific that brought about the change or any methods that seemed to help specifically? Thank you!
