That's funny....Yeah, walking around school with flowers is kind of cheesy, all the girls will ask who they are for, and all the jocks will mess it up for you..Aaaawwww, put a note (card) on here desk (a sweet one), or slip it in her locker.
On the card you can say:
You are the loving embrace in the midst of the hall way
your scent is what blows me away
You are in the race that one my heart
your beauty is instilled in my heart
You look better then our second grade teacher
Your the reason I smile everyday
You sometimes silently fart
Your even smart
You smirk and make cute sarcastic remarks
I am the best, and you deserve the rest of me
my vexatious wonder wall....

A very nice gift would be to walk up to her and say, "Hi. My name is (...) and I'm trying to meet every wonderful person on the planet. Since you're clearly wonderful, thought I'd come meet you!"
She will either be very friendly and you can go from there, or she will dismiss you totally, which will save you the cost of that gift.

You may want to get to know her first, what her interests are and stuff like that. If you know her interest, you could get her a book, or perfume, or if she's into sports, something related to that, like a volleyball or something. You need to know her interests.
Chocolates is always good because you can hide them in case you chicken out, and eat them. But get ones without nuts, in case she's allergic!!

Try candy, not those showy boxes but rather something simple. Like junior mints or a Hershey bar. At least it's a cheap idea.

Flowers are best for this sort of thing, have you considered having them delivered to her at school. The admin people who receive the deliveries may just deliver them to her in her class. I use proflowers.com.

Try to notice what she is into.....a sport, music, book? Find out what she likes give her a small gift that shows you took the time to find out what she likes.

a charm bracelet works wonders on a girls heart.... it will be easier to tell her how she has put the charms on your heart. that is cute. not like getting a spell book and tell her that she has put a spell on you. i am a romantic right?... so when it comes to gifts they should really mean something

I say a necklace or bracelet or something, it doesn't have to be very expensive since I'm guessing it's not a special occassion or your not going out... I don't know, I just like jewelry... :)
