OK, divorced couple, only child, joint custody, new girlfriend for the dad. The mom seems to try to disrupt scheduling, etc. by leaving town, changing arrangements. The girlfriend wants the dad to "shut her down" by saying he can't take the child when the mom goes out of town on business. He tries to negotiate, but it's never forceful enough to suit the girlfriend. There's no one else around who can watch the child. What should the dad do?

Once I had a dream that all of the people in the world died from outragious stuff that happened! Also, just yesterday, I had a dream that a guy from my class bet me that he could strip and pose in public. I walked away and when we were at a store, he came out of no where with his underwear on and stripping. I'm in 5th grade and so is he. My friends are saying that this means something... is it true? I'm getting uncomfortable!!!

I have had an ongoing problem with my next door neighbors, they make my life a misery, I have had nails put in my tyres, my car scratched, they bad mouth me to all my other neighbors which has caused them all to back off, I have been assaulted by the husband and have had to call the police which resulted in him receiving a caution, yet he continues to intimidate me when he knows no one is watching.

This situation is making me ill besides moving what else can i do?

Alright my hubby does work in bars, he travels around to different bars and collects the money and fixes the equipment. Theres this one route he runs once or twice a month, and 99% of the time that he runs this route, hes late and has been drinking. This has been going on for 5 years now. I have two small step sons and two sons of my own and also 25 weeks with his son. Im getting so tired of being a door mat. I dont get the option to just stop and have a beer whenever i feel like it. What do i do. Ive expressed this so many times to him but its like he doesnt care how it makes me feel. I stay at home and raise kids, thats my life. Im here all day everyday and every single night. Unless of course him and i go out together, which NEVER happens. How would you handle this situation? Like today hes had "a few beers" he usually calls everymorning, but today he didnt call at all. When i finally got ahold of him, he simply said he was out of town. That was all he said until i asked. Help me

I am 22 year old female who just graduated from a private university. My family seems fairly “upper middle class” but I know I am severely depressed as a result of the emotional abuse I suffered as a kid. My father was physically abusive to my mother and still is, and my mother is an alcoholic (she drinks every night, alone, hides bottles ect.) She wont leave, and doesn’t want to end her drinking. Like most children of alcoholics I am stuck feeling poorly about my self and I too don’t have the strength to leave. I also want to stay to make sure my 15 year old sister is alright. No one knows about this – and although I have a lot of friends – none of them know about this.

Last night we had a talk about the future between us and how i need to stand up to my parents (im 21) and mostly my mother... me and my bf have only been going out for like 11 months (well going on),anyways we have been talking about moving in together he still lives with his parents (he is 29) and has started thinking about find a place for us he waiting for me to find a job and for him to save some money up when he get back to work in a few weeks. I could move over to his place with his parents cause they well not mind if i do but mine well.... My bf wants me to take control of my life and and not let them tell me what to do any more... and that why his has thought about breaking it off with me thinking that if i dont step up how am i supposed move on in our relationship.... SO.... my question is how can i get him to be with me and stand up to my parents (mom) and tell that i want to move out and be independent .... they dont think it a go idea to move in with him and his parents

this is a follow up to what i wrote yesterday, for those of you with teens!! my friends daughter has now stolen her car!!! get this, police wont do anything, said she is family member,even though she's only 15,has no dl.and did not have permission to take car!! it's no wonder teens are running amuck.Everything she does they say,we cant do anything. ive never heard of such bull!!! Police are giving this teen the upper hand in everything.There has to be something they can do? How can they just let a 15 yr. old kid do whatever she wants?No wonder our kids are so lost, they can do what they want w/ no consequences. and believe me, her mom has tried &tried to do whats right for her daughter.But what can she do when she gets no backup from the police! Are there any law enforcement personel out there that can give her advice?

I can't get to seem to make him talk more freely to me. I'm on the shy side too when it comes to someone I haven't known for a long time, but I know he's got it in him. He's crazy around his guy friends, but when he's with me it just seems like there's nothing to talk about. And when we're on the phone it's REALLY awkward because there's complete silence for minutes at a time. Any ideas?

My Aunt, Uncle and their two children never seem to have time to join the rest of the family in certain events, say oh like..birthday parties. They missed my wifes because of Tae Kwon Do class, they missed my Aunts because of a movie at a church. They are missing mine because of Tae Kwon do Class. And they are going to miss my Grandfather and my sons because of Tae Kwon do testing.
YES My Uncle has Money and his own business, He has done LOTS FOR ME. He has given me a job. He gave me $1000 one christmas, and My Aunt told me I shouldn't be complaining because I know that If I was ever in a bind they would be there for me in a heartbeat.
Am I asking too much, for them to participate in FAMILY celebrations??
Who is wrong here???

A few days ago this kid told the biggest lie to a teacher and his parents. I was a witness to the cheating that was involved and he was denying that he cheated (that was the lie). My teacher consulted with both of us and he still lied. My teacher said that lying to a teacher is a suspendable offense and he said the one specific word that it's called. It's driving me insane and if any of you know it you would be helping me out a great deal!

house planning a wedding. When we got back home his ex called about a court thing (previous questions). It upset me. It was ruining my night. He was already aggravated because he was tired and ill. So I just kept my distant so I wouldn't aggravate him any more. I was in our room fixin the bed for the night. He came in and asked me if I still wanted to marry him, (I was crying already) I told him yes I did. He said I didn't sound very reassuring. I started crying my eyes out. He started saying he was sorry, and gave me a hug and a kiss, and said he was outta line and shouldn't have said that, then walked outta the room in to the bathroom. I went in there and he was bent over the sink washing his face and rubbing his eyes. I think he was crying but I couldn't tell, so I just went up to him and gave him a hug and a kiss, and told him I loved him. He said he was sorry about a million times while we were in the bathroom.

I was just trying to be there for him. What should I have done?
