I would recommend not doing as much phone time. Try to set up "do something" times, where talking is not so important. Like roller skating, or bowling. That way he has time to get more comfortable with your presence. It may take awhile for him to be comfortable. I wouldn't count on him ever behaving with you like he does around his guy friends though, most men just don't.
But definitely don't try to push him into being something he's not (talkative).

I don't think it good idea to conutine if he keep like that... areyou wililng to find any idea or do something to make this work?? what if you married him and still do that are you willing to deal with that.. no of course not... I did before and I don't want to if this person don't want to talk more freely to me then I moved on and find other woman.. I did found perfect person in my whole life and we been married for 10 years and we both feel freely to talk about anything... so I glad I didn't try to work it out with other person but that other person is my friend and has been smiling. so you might wnat to not want to do that.. because if he crazy with his guy friend then pointess for you to try ... He already in the man hood and if you married him he will be like this for long time and are you willing to do that if he keep going see his guy friends and you are home alone and no sex no love, no kissing, no love effect stuff like that????

Some men aren't big talkers. I doubt he can change the way he is, especially over the phone. Women seem to love talking a lot more than men.
If you can't live with his personality; it might be best to break it off.

Well,
You need to observe him and find out what it is he like the most and start talking about it and then start working your own questions in that you wanna know or start talking about something that happen to you or some one you know and then ask him how he would he feel if it was him in that situation it would bring up alot of broad topics that yall can talk about for hours.

Sounds like a pretty typical guy. A lot of guys don't like talking on the phone to begin with. This isn't unusual behavior.

Guys hate talking on the phone with girls unless its about sex or might lead to sex. Guys have more fun with their buddies because buddies are more fun with the exception of having sex with girls. So basically unless you are talking about sex you don't have enough in common to talk about.

If he doesn't talk now, imagine if you get married to him, what it would be like in five or ten years. Dump the guy, he is probably stupid and doesn't know what to talk about.

Find out what he's interested in from his friends. Guys love talk about themselves and their hobbies.
