i kind of made up with my friend but the friendship is still very patchy...how do i get it back to the confidence level it was at...the issue is we are not in the same city as well ,i am in chicago,she is in cali...and email is presently our only means of communication...please give some suggestions which will help our frienship get back on track

I have some friends high end and low end. No matter how we met or how long I've known them or have in common we stayed friends for years!!!!! What makes some folks think they are so Got-Damned Special their feelings are more important then mine.

HELP! my best friend is really annoying! She has been like this for ages,she is really possesive of me,and will start arguments with people if I hang around with them! She tells me to dump my boyfriend,she uses me and my other friend just because someone she normally hangs around with wasn't there that day,and she makes fun of me in front of other people.Barely anyone likes her,and everyone is telling me to ditch her,but when I do,she just follows me like a dog! This really annoys me,and when I have told her in the past that I want to hang out with other people,she started crying,and made a huge scene,so people started talking about me behind my back,please help!

She's 22 like me and very immature!! She talks to numerous men @ once!! I know she's sleeping with more than 1 of them @ a time!! She leaves her baby(11/2) at night with her elderly grandmother and mother who are not capable of running after her kids!!! Her oldest daughter(4) is wth her father now bc she wont take care of her responsiblities!!! She GAVE him custody! I could never do that to my daughter!! Do u guys know anyone like this? okay well I was at my friend Nicoles and we were talking about how some of the girls in our high school make out with eachother for practice. So we kept talking and ended up doing it ourselves. We did it like 3 times and we went for like 5 min each time. If I don't live on campus, will it be hard for me to make friends? Since I would be going to class and then leaving. There is no lunch time or anything to socialize. Your just in and your out. And the whole time the proffessor is talking, so how can you make friends? Also, the classes are so big and you move seats everyday, isn't it hard to find friends...

I have a very proud friend who is blind, she loves the Harry Potter books and has all but this newest one on audio tape or CD. I can not afford to buy her the unabridged audio book and even if I could she'd not accept it from me, (she hates charity when it's directed at her) if I can arrange it through another friend she WILL accept gifts from is there anyone willing to buy her this unabridged audio book and send it to her using the other friend's name? You'd be doing a great act of kindness, get a tax deduction and helping me to help a friend who can not afford to buy the audio book for herself. Her birthday is at the end of this month so the timing is perfect. Please if you aren't serious about trying to help, do not answer this. Thank you in advance.

Ok, this is not a very serious problem, but i am just interested in others' opinions.

My best friend and I have been best friends with wach other for 22 years (we are both 33 now). We both have very young children. SHe has a son who is 2 and I have a daughter who is 20 months.

Her son is quite a difficult child - lots of tantrums, not very friendly. He pushes, pokes and rugby tackles my daughter, even when my daughter is being nice to him. SHe offers him her toys, drinks, tries to cuddle him. Nowadays she more or less leaves him a lone but he still attacks her.

I feel the boys mother is not firm enough when she tells him off for being violent. She does it in this softly softly voice, and i think she should really lay down the law (i would do that if it was my daughter attacking her son). SHe DOES tell him off, but gently.

It hurts me so bad to see my daughter being bullied - on occasions i have told off the boy sternly but his mother seems not to like me doing so.

just wonderin coz a lie was spread by this chick that i was gay after i didnt wanna *** her and dudes who i was cool with before have started to ignore me straight after the rumour came out.

i know i wouldnt ignore someone if they were gay and i would understand if they avoided me if i was gay and had hit on them, but im straight and its just weird someone would completely avoid me on a rumour.

My friend just recently opened up and told me a secret he has been holding onto since he was 13. He dates girls but he flirts/lead others on and even make the other ones believe they are in a relationship because he is not satisfied fully with the personality of one, and he said he "picks and chooses" the personality he likes within couple of girls even if it means being with selected girls on the side. If it didn't make sense, I mean, If his gf is missing a personality, he finds another one on the side to fill that in. He finally fell in love with a woman but he never told her that he had one on the side also because of his bad habit. He wants to make it right and change, and he asked me to help him, but I have no idea how to help him with that. I told him to tell her the truth and be honest with her. Do you think when she finds out, that he deserves the chance if he's willing to change? And is there a name for the type of person he is? He's not a bad guy, made bad choices though
