"BEST FRIEND" help plz?!?

HELP! my best friend is really annoying! She has been like this for ages,she is really possesive of me,and will start arguments with people if I hang around with them! She tells me to dump my boyfriend,she uses me and my other friend just because someone she normally hangs around with wasn't there that day,and she makes fun of me in front of other people.Barely anyone likes her,and everyone is telling me to ditch her,but when I do,she just follows me like a dog! This really annoys me,and when I have told her in the past that I want to hang out with other people,she started crying,and made a huge scene,so people started talking about me behind my back,please help!

I class her as my BFF because thats what she is supposed to be!

I had a friend like that once.

Ugggggggggggggggggggggh.

She would purposely pick fights with other friends of mine, would try to turn people against me, even tried to turn some of my relatives against me, even flirted with my boyfriend.....

She was just TERRIBLE.

And every time I'd try to ditch her, she'd call me obsessively. One time, when I tried leaving her house, she actually SAT on top of the phone and wouldn't let me use it. What a nut.

I ended our friendship not long after that episode.

But.

One thing I'm going to tell you about people like that .... is that they are HURTING. I'm NOT saying that's an excuse to act like a psycho or an idiot, but. The girl I was friends with....her dad was a drunk joke that the beach locals here laughed at. Her brother was a dopehead. And her mom had gotten remarried..... she was a piece of work on her own. My friend had an epileptic seizure one day in a shoe store with me and her mother ~ her mother actually WALKED OUT of the store and left me there, with the girl convulsing on the floor and a bunch of scared store employees.

So, you see, people who are that nasty..... they usually have gotten a life of nastiness or hurt from other people. They have NO self-confidence.

Awhile after we'd stopped being friends, that girl had brain surgery to correct her epilepsy. Well, would you believe.....I was the ONLY non-related person who went to visit her (I felt sorry for her)..... and the ONLY person at all who spent the night in the hospital with her.

People like your friend and mine.....are sad, lonely, people. And as long as they act like psychos and idiots, they are doomed to live sad, lonely lives.

Maybe you could sit down and have a serious conversation with this girl about why she does the things that she does..... and tell her that they need to stop or your friendship is going to stop.

I can imagine what you must be going through. I know of a similar situation but not with friends. My sister was engaged to a guy that was really selfish. My sister was my best friend as I did not have any friend at school. She was always there for me. We are a very close family but when this guy came in her life, it was a disaster. I rarely had time to talk to my sister. If she wanted to buy my brothers something, her fiancee would shout at her. He was very jealous, possessive and arrogant and would not let my sister to spend time with her family. One day he hit her and that was it. My brothers threw him out of the house and has not lay a foot since in our house. He used to threatned my sister a lot and she was very scared and we had to make a complaint to the police as well. Finally somebody came in her life and they were happily married after. In your case I'd would say don't end the friendship but don't get involve too much. Ask her to go to counselling. Maybe she wants to take your place. Tell her that you need some space and then sort things out. Good luck.

She sounds horrible! One minute she's following you around and next minute shes dissing you in front of other people. Tell her that if she wants to be your friend, treat you like a friend. Take her some where private and talk to her. You may feel like doing it in public but that will just make it worse and your reputation will probably fall down then aswell.

Tell her your sick of it, and you dont know whether you want to be friends with her. If she says stuff you then, just leave it, and if she says please can you be my friend, tell her to start acting like one then, instead of making fun of you in public or something.

She isn't your friend then simple as that. If she is trying to be contolling over you and making you have a bad time then she isn't your best friend. Tell her how you feel and that if she doesn't change then you will have to stop being friends with her.
If she starts crying then just walk away because she is no friend, it may make you feel bad but think of all shes done to you and she is probably just trying to make you feel bad so that she can control you.

Looks like your friend is using black mail on you, "I'll cry if you brake friends with me" My daughter has the same problem, but the girl tells the teacher who isn't much help & tells my daughter to stop being mean! She is NO friend if she makes fun of you & be littles you in front of people, she thinks she is being funny & people will like her.
No one wants to tell someone they don't want to hang around with them anymore, but it has to be done. Its upsetting you like my daughter she want to go around & make friends with other people. Be confident & walk away if she calls say your busy & on the way out, even if your not! Good Luck

i had a freind just like this.. she didnt cry or tell me i couopldnt hang out with other people but everything else.... by the time we ended up breaking off our freindship it was pretty ugly i found out that she was telling COMPLETE lies about me.. sharing really personal information with people, tellilng people i was trying to be like her and i was jealous of her (i wasnt) and other things. SHe even tried to get me in trouble with my apt (we were roomates for a while) she told them i had a guy living with me to try to get me into trouble and get a fine and other stuff... it was very bad... i didnt realize half of this till after word when people came to me to tell me these things. I would tell her it bothers you and stuff... and it might be better just not to be her friend at all

Just avoid her as much as possible. do not answer her calls or talk to her very much. If she says anything give one word answers. When she talks about your other friends or boyfriends, tell her that it is none of her business who you hang with or go out with. Eventually she will get the message. Quit calling her your best friend if she is not!!!

If i was you i would explain to her how you fell and ask yourself if you realy want this person in your life if not then tell her that and ignore her and spend time with the people you want to and eventualy she'll take the hint and leave you alone and if she dosen't tell a teacher!

lol sounds like me and my old friend. in class when i sat down in a seat next to my other friends he would say to my other friend: get out of the way im sitting next to jai. and its like... well i didn't want to hurt his feelings. in the end with after all the back stabbing when i was sleeping over at his house i told him: your a stupid freak stay the hell away from me, me, christopher and gavan hate you so piss off.

it solved basically every thing. although he decided to devote his live to swearing at us... I didn't care though he just needs to get a life is all.

She sounds very possesive. I wonder why. Is it possible she is gay? Be careful, but you need to find out more about why she is behaving like that. Good luck.
