No, not necessarily. My husband and i were friends for about 3 years before we became lovers, and then married. And we are still best friends.

I remember the first time I met him and he was, as he is now, in a state of frenetic energy and flailing his arms at the world (he is a divorce lawyer) , and I thought to myself, "That man is the most sarcastic son of a bytch I have ever liked this much." Which was weird bc I don't like flailing arms and sarcasm that much, but there was just something about him....

Just a little piece of my life....

Love never kills a friendship at all. It can only help one grow to a deeper friendship.

I think if your a nice guy it does. It makes it almost impossible to remain friends with your mutual friends. Esspecially if you hang out together. I used to think it was good to have the same friends. But after this week to hell with that. You have to have your own people that you can chill with. I don't really think that its always bad but i just went through it AGAIN. I hate being the nice guy.

love makes the friendship stronger.
romantic love complicates the friendship.
if that romantic love fails, the friendship is screwed.
if you can salvage that friendship, awesome.
if not, then its dead.
