To pass urine a catheter is inserted into the bladder through the urethra and constantly drains urine. Despite being in a coma, the body will (usually) still produce faeces and the patient will require cleaning regularly. Particularly if they are still being fed thru a tube in the nose. catheter, basically they put a tube in your bladder and it drains it every now and then. And I'm 70% sure you only urinate while in a coma because your body is taking nothing but liquids (IV) in.
