I'm lost as to how to make new friends. Since I left college after having my daughter I've lost touch with how to interact with women my age. I mostly have older women friends but it's just not the same. I'm very shy so its not easy to approach people. I need help. I want to hang out with people my age. Any advice?

just because i hang out with some bangers.... and occasionally the "just wanna have a good time" "STONER" does that mean that i'm going to wind up in prison like everyone keeps telling me? I mean don't get me wrong... i have smoked marijuana before? and i have broken the law... but just because of who i hang out with... and how i dress people automatically say... "Well by tthe time you're 17 you'll be in prison.."and i try not to surround myself with these people... but itz gotten to the point where my own father has been telling me this? is something wrong with me?????

I lived in Oz 1957 to 1960 and fell in love with a beatiful Oz girl. I split and regreted it ever since. I won't embarass her by mentioning her name, but we worked for Social Services in Sydney. I would love to know what became of her. She was so nice, I cannot imagine her not being a grandmother now. I'll only say that I'm a Canadian and her name is Val.

My "BFF" doesn't talk to me anymore! The last time I heard from her was like 2 weeks ago when I went to her pool and stayed for dinner. After that I called her like two days later to see if she wanted to go catch a movie but she never called back. Today she called me and it said so on my cell so I called her back (becuz i hadn't answered when she called me) to ask y she called and i asked her and shes like no. im like oh well it says tht on my fone and shes like well i didn't and then i said um ok then bye and she said bye and hung up! i dont want to lose my best friend but i dont want her to treat me this way. oh and its not like she found new friends cuz she always hung around me and never talked to anyone else! what should i do?

Why you ask? It's because one of my best guy friends asked me out, and I said no so it wouldn't ruin our friednship. And he made the blame comepletely on me, because he said he opens up to me like he did to his late grandma. I feel so horrible now, because not many people see him like that. He told me he regrets acting that like me at all because I hurt him. He says, quoted "I opened up for you. And what you do? Rip out my heart and stomp on it." I couldn't even sleep good and I'm crying right now because I feel horrible. What to do??

There's this girl that goes to my school. She just asked me if we could be friends. I really don't want to!!!!!!! She's mean and annoying. I take that back. She's EXTREMELY mean and annoying. I really don't want to be her friend!!! I don't like having friends. I have 3. And it's a very conclusive group of friends. I only see one of them. One of them lives on the other side of the country, and another one, I've only talked to on the computer. I don't want to be her friend!!!!!! How can I let her down gently?!?! okay so there are these kids in my shop who constantly call me emo because i like my chemical romance but i don't think of myself as emo i'm don't dress like one. i think emo music is kinda cool but i like other types.
but i just hurts i've had a lotta **** happen that has been really hard on me and just because i'm sad everyone automaticly assumes i'm emo i don't want attention and i'm not looking for sympathy. i just want someone to talk to who understands me and i just wanna be left alone but every calls me emo and i can't stand it.
and these guys are nerds i mean the make flash movies of pokemon it's vbery strange and they constantly im me messages like

" STFU EMO F.U.C.K "
"GET OFF MY INTERWEBZ"

and i try to block them but they have like 300 screen names

so i want the perfect i dea to get them back

( please no speaches about how revenge i s wrong and how god will get them in the end if you're gonna leave an answer like that please just don't bother)

Ok this is kond of a long story so I'll start from the biggining. I told my best friend I was saving up for an iPod video,we both have iPod nanos. So as soon as I tell her she walks away and grabs her cell phone and tells her mom to buy her and iPod video. Then we stop by her mom's work and she says, "Mom you really need to get me an iPod video!" Then I get a phone call that night and it's my friend. She's yelling and screamming. She got an iPod video. It just mad me so mad because I told her I was saving up for one and she tells her mom to get her one and like 2 hours later she has one! My only consolation is that she didn't get the color she wanted. Like that's going to make me feel better. So, do I have a right to be mad or not. Because right now I'm so mad at her that I could....wel, you get the picture.

I have a friend who tends to be rather needy. It got to the point where he was having a 'life crisis' every other day and it was really wearing on me. So I told him that I needed my space.

He acted like he acknowledged my request but his barrage of drama filled crises continued. So I decided that I needed a break and stopped responding. Well now he sends me messages and is either like "I was trying to contact you earlier, but I guess you're busy. I just was going to thank you for being a good friend" or "I'm sorry that my best friend doesn't care for me" or he reminds me that his dad is ill or that he suffers from schizophrenia.

Now he told me that if I don't respond, it's going to be detrimental to his health. It's just wearing on me so bad. I don't like being manipulated. I just feel like he just "calls wolf" all the time to get my attention and he never seems to be satisfied with my attention. How do I confront him about his manipulation? Or what should I do? Thank you!!

She's 2 years older than me, and I figured she wouldn't like me 'cause I'm "just a kid" and still in high school. My sister was at work yesterday, and she knew that, but she came over and hung out with me for a couple of hours until my sister came home. Nothing happened, and we just talked and stuff, but I thought it was weird and wondered what it meant.

Was she just bored or is she kind of into me? I'm on the swim team and I'm in pretty good shape, but I can't imagine that she's all into me now because she saw me naked a couple of weeks ago, but she's never really hung out with me like that before. So what do you all think the deal is?

i left my ex bf because he didn't want to grow up, and he didn't want to go to college... ** well he said he did** when i first met him he had nothing, and i turned it all around for him, but we are just too different to make the it work, well see i did love him so after i left him i turned every other guy down n gained some weight! now he is dating a 15 year old.. and she is going to be a shopmore next year!! ( she might be 16) hes 20 years old, and he wrecked his car 3 times, so he doesn't have one.. and he is building a mini truck now.. but see that girl is kind of pretty so it makes me feel like i lost a good guy! do u think i did? should i just lose my extra 10 pounds and go into college with a new attitude??? will i be surprise how the guys are different ... i'm leaving in a few days... thanks!
