I feel that at times I am too soft and there are people who try to take advantage of me in terms of mentally. Would it be wise to toughen up, mentally fight back, or what is the best way?

Last year, I posted two questions about my friend liking the guy I like. Please read them before answering this. Thanks! Well, she finally admitted that she liked him from September to December last year. She said she couldn't tell me cos she knew it would hurt me but she told the rest of the school. And now, I feel an idiot for trusting her in the first place. She makes me so angry sometimes but other times, I feel she is the closest person to me. I want to tell her that I want a period where I test her friendship but how do I do this? Do I just say it and should I do it face-to-face? I won't see her till next week and by then, it will look like I'm making a big deal. I'm really hurting inside from her mistrust but she did say sorry. Please help me figure out what to do... any advice will be gratefully taken. XD

i'm so confussed! I told two people who I wanted to go to prom with then I turn around and after school yesterday I was talking with my friends and ther basketball coach was there and they all started talking about prom. I said " hey how does everyone know"? They said" it got around" then my friend Seth said Ow I want to go to prom with you" out of now where I didn't know what to say . but then we all went over to see one of my friends tj wrestle this one kid rickey. tj totally wipped rickeys butt.. Then my friends paul, ben and mark where talking meanly about me and I was just standing ther and seth said kand have a seat next to me but I told him I can't there's someones bag here he said here they don't need it i'll move it. and then he said "Stop making fun of kandra there's nothing wrong with her. I said thank and he said any time. seth is like a brother for to me and he stands up for me always. I think he likes me but i'm not sure?

im 15 and i only want to drink occcasionally (once/twice a month) but everyone tells me im way too young.
Its unfair cos all my other friends are 18 and so legal, but i dont see the problem if its just once in a while
do u think im too young to drink?

I have a very good friend and her 10 year old is out of control to the point no one wants them around, the child has adhd but absolutly no manners. They never correct bad behavior! Do I just tell them our concerns for this childs future? I have raised my children already. I would think they would take my advise!
I am concerned that they will take it the wrong way. And when I say no manners, this child can be scary sometimes, help!

Hi, i have a really good friend and she is in a band.
She is quite good but the other 2 bring her down.
She thinks she is great and people tell her that she is just to be nice.

I am 14 this year. My classmates like to say that I am very "gay " or sissy. I think it has got something to do with the way I say things (puberty voice broken already) or do things. When I ask them in waht way I am like that and they just cant point out exactly where the prob is. I am very frustrated. How can I help to toughen myself up because I really just cannot stand all those comments from people around.

Im having lots of problems right now im into a lot first of all my self-esteme is really low.I dont like the way i am. A lot of people are mean to me.Sometimes i say "Why did i had to be from this family?!?!why cant i be from a family thats famous or something like that.Some people tease me that im chubby and im trying to loose it to just so people could stop calling me that.I dont like the way i am.I have lots of issues.I also dont like the way i am, because i dont feel i should be that way.I say,"Why cant i be like that actor.Or that person."Also i say to myself"Why did god made me so ugly,,,and god DONT like ugly!!!"I see all the people that they are beutiful and nice,but not me.I feel that im the only one on this planet earth also have the one with the only problem.Give me some advise on what to do.Please help me a lest tell me what to do.PLEASE HELP ME.

Hey, this is my problem. its exists of 5 people

It was great-grandmother birthday lastweek, she got chocolates and other items, but she didnt want the chocolates so she gave them to Me.

I want to give them to Mother for "late easter present" as i didnt get her anything.

But grandfather and grandmother knows thats great-grandmother gave them to me.

Mother doesnt know that great-grandmother gave them to me.

Should i give chocolates to mother or should i just eat them?

Would it be cheap?
Should i tell great-grandmother?

Please help me asap.. Ive got till tomorrow.

Recently, a dear friend called to explain that her Mother may be getting a job in her department. Although she understands that after her Mom's downsizing, she really wanted to get back to work. However, my friend is concerned because she feels that her Mom working in her same dept., may be a little to close-for-comfort. Although she loves her Mom, she feels that this may not be a good move. What should she do? Her Mom is partially excited about the opportunity BUT has admitted that if it will be a problem for her daughter she will continue to look elsewhere. My b/f and I have been friends for about ten years now. I met him through his brother, whom use to be my b/f when we were younger. About 6 yrs ago, my b/f and I hooked up and dated for awhile until his guy friends were telling him lies of me to him, which ending our relationship and friendship for about a yr. When we became friends again it was alot of hard work to get to where we are now, best friends again!! yeah!! but here is the kicker...i do like him more than friends. ok i love the guy!! adore everything about him, im honest with him, can talk to him about ANYTHING, we are ourselves with one another and its comfortable. within the last 6 yrs he has only dated one person and i on the other hand have had about 4 different guys in and out of my life. i spent 2 yrs of those yrs alone trying to prove to him that i could be alone and that all i wanted was him. i have told him that i still care for him and LOVE him. but he wont give me a second chance. what can i do?? what can i say??

So, here's the thing: I'm a freshman in college, living on-campus. I am taking a break from college next year (don't try to dispute this, I'm not changing my mind).

I've known this guy since my junior year in high school, and we were really close friends. I hadn't talked to him in months, but just yesterday I called him to catch up, and later we hung out. Well, we basically went through our life stories of the past few months, and I told him about my plans.

Before yesterday, my only option for this summer was to go down to my grandparents' house, where I lived in high school, about an hour away. All my friends live up here, in the city I'm in now.

My friend has an apartment, and he offered me to live with him this summer. It would only be until I'm able to make enough money to get my own place.

My boyfriend got really upset and told me that it bothered him because he doesn't know him very well. He "changed his mind" today and told me he would be okay with it. What do you think?

My friend broke up with her boyfriend of 5 months, and then our friend started dating him 2 days later. He found out from some of my friends that her main motive in dating him was gaining some popularity, and he ripped into her on the internet to humiliate her. When my friends and I voiced our opinions and told him that was not ok, he insulted all of us- cussed us out, said the 'rule about hitting girls no longer applied', all this stuff. And our friend who is dating him does not stand up for us or anything, and she is not trying to solve the problem- she's not doing ANYTHING.

WHAT should I do? This is tearing my group of friends apart, and I couldn't stand it if we allowed a stupid, selfish, immature guy to break us apart.

I've been bored a lot lately... looking for fun things to do around the house or somewhere close. I'm one of those people who can't stand not doing something... Keep in mind that I can't drive, but what do you do when you're bored? Any suggestions?

well, my friend Bailey* is a really good friend of mine. but she's been being REALLY mean to my best friend Jackie*. At least once a day, in front of EVERYONE, Bailey will say "ewww...Jackie your SOO ugly" or "eww your outfit is hidious. time for a shopping trip." or something like that. she ALWAYS says JK after it, but only after we all look at her weird, and you can tell she's not really kidding. she's saying it to be mean. today, i finally told her off in front of everyone and said "Bailey that's really rude. you need to stop that." and she was like "I WAS JUST KIDDING!" and i said "yeah but it hurts Jackie's feelings and it's really annoying so stop.

now she's mad at me and i dont know what to do. HELP?!

i stopped talking to one of my close friends about 6 months ago because she honestly treats me like crap....she thinks she's really funny, makes fun of me and other people constantly and i couldn't handle the negativity! so, she called me and we went out to dinner, i must have forgotten what a mean girl she was! at dinner she kept saying i was on probation to be her friend again, and then would laugh hysterically for 5 minutes, while i lauged along so she didn't feel like a complete jerk! then she completely missed my birthday, it's better she wasn't there, but still! i want to, in a very very nice way, tell her she is hurting my feelings and if she doesn't stop i will not be friends with her anymore. how do you tell someone they bring you down whenever you talk to them! she calls me everyday just to complain, and i love life and am a very positive person! help!!!!!! nice suggestions
