why is it that people generalize that filipinos esp. filipinas need all their money and are all gold-diggers? That the filipinas can't live without using other people?



i Am a filipina and im starting to be ashamed of what i am because of that stupid perception! I am feeling guilty of my feeling towards my nationality...but is it right? i love my country and my people but somehow some people just can't understand but they kept on coming or having their retirement or living or getting married here in the Phils? why is that?

My best friend always tells me he's going to do things with me & always ends up standing me up at the last minute. The last straw came last Saturday when he was supposed to go to a wedding with me. I called him the night before & reminded him about it. The day of the wedding, I called him & he said he had forgotten & had made plans with his family (stay home, family dinner). I just found out he went out that night with someone else. How can I make him understand this is not right? We've been friends for 10 years and lately this has happened often. He ditching me for someone else (usually a romance).

her mom asked me to be in charge of that, she's too upset to think of that right now.
I really don't know what to pick. Her mom wants it to be something that would represent her, not something she would totally have hated..

i have three good friends but one of them is really mean and criticizes everyone and whenever we don't go somewhere with her she starts saying we don't have a social life and i do but my parents are kind of strict. My other two friends don't want to leave her . So i want to know how to meet new people in school so that they are not the only person i hang out with. IT is hard to make friends in my school because everyone knows each other already and they don't need to make new friends. so this guy asked me to prom in the cutest way and i said yes.. my friends likes or liked him though and we've been friends since kindergarten.. so she got mad and said it was unforgivable and stuff like that.. but when i said i yes i really didn't think it'd matter because she's boy crazy! and i wasn't talking to him or anything like that before he asked me it happened like the day after someone told me he was gonna ask me.. but i didnt really think anything of it because i thought it was just a rumor.. and me and her are friends again but she said she didn;t want to know a single detail about prom and that she still never will forgive me but that shes gonna put it outta her mind or whatever.. and i still dont think that she was right to be mad and stuff either.. and when we were fighting she told me "dont think he likes you because he only asked you since the other girl already had a date." so i need some opinions.

that her mommy and daddy was doing it to her and i asked her if i called in and told the police would she tell them and she said she would just lie about it because her mom told her that they would kill her and if they didnt do that she would beat her to death because she would wish she was dead and if the little girl wont tell then what else is there to do.she said she has to put it on her leg everynight until 2 and 3 oclock in the morning standing in the corner and gets shocked everytime she move she even has places on her leg please someone tell me how i can get this girl to talk she smart pretty and so lovable but is in so much pain and her 4 brothers are litteray pulling her hair out of her head too and she even has a bald spot on the top of her head from it. and she doesnt deserve this because she is just such an angel.

I have two half brothers who are younger then I am One is 15 the other is 16. today I talked with the older of the two and he told me the younger one who is 15 is using ecstacy. Do I tell our father who probably won't care anyway or their mother who won't care either considering they let them smoke pot and cigarettes and let the 16 year old Drop out of school. I am worried that my brother could end up dead or an addict! so I my question is what should I do?

i was talkin to my friend and he wasn't acting like himself... I think it was because he was hanging out with his friend. I told him I didn't like it. he said he was just being himself. (I'm a girl)

I sit in the back of the class and one of my friends will be in the front. Well she'll yell something to me, and then the girl I'm talking about will turn around and laugh at me or something, or if it's something else, then she'll just turn around and stare. She's not being mean about it or anything. We don't really talk though that much cause there's really nothing to say to her. One day I asked her if I could borrow a dollar and she just stared at me for a second then when and got one. But if yall think she isn't wanting to be a friend then it won't hurt my feelings. I'm just wondering.

I am in need of a poem to put at the cemetary of a dear friend that was murdered last september! Her 22nd birthday is next Sunday, and I can't find the perfect poem to put there. why do they allways say im rich and i can buy everything i want or they pretent to be rich im not that rich im middle ones and i dont pretend being rich or make fun of poor i have a friend that says the price of everything she bought and she says (for example) im gone a buy a new ipod i allready have 3 and she says how many do u have and i said 1 mp3 but my dadys gone a buy me one later but i dont brag about stuff like that and i think she is not rich bcuz she wears the same clothes over and over and she dropped her pencil and me and my friend saw he underwear being ripped!
