I have two half brothers who are younger then I am One is 15 the other is 16. today I talked with the older of the two and he told me the younger one who is 15 is using ecstacy. Do I tell our father who probably won't care anyway or their mother who won't care either considering they let them smoke pot and cigarettes and let the 16 year old Drop out of school. I am worried that my brother could end up dead or an addict! so I my question is what should I do?

I am 28 and we don't live together. I have never had to deal with anything like this before.

The best advice I can offer is to just let him know that you really care about him. You might alienate the other brother if you betray his confidence by telling the other brother that you know about his drug use. Try to stay in his life, invite him to a movie or just to hang out. It is hard to give up one activity without having something to replace it with. You sound like a good sister, he is lucky to have you in his life.

Try talking him. Knowing brothers that won't work though. You might have to be creative about this - leave pages on how bad drugs can be by his stash with graphic pics.??? hmmm I don't know, atleast you've noticed - my brother just ended up being an addict. search sites - good luck.

You and your brother should confront him on the issue. Find out what he is trying to run away from. Let him know drugs are not the answer. Try to get help for him. And remember he may not quit cold turkey and he also has to want the help.
