My friend's gone seriously like COMPLETELY emo. We go to a Lutheran School and there's nothing she has to be so sad about. She just acts this way because she thinks its cool and fun to make her friends worry- it's the only attention she can get. What should we do to help her?

If she's just doing it for attention then what you have to do is not give it to her. 'Cause that'd just let her know that she can get things she wants by doing this, and it's not the right thing to do.
But if you think she is serious about it, advise her to a counselor possibly. If the counselor finds that it's bad she may advise her to the doctor to get some anti-depressants. Anti-depressants aren't the best thing to do, and they shouldn't be her first choice or thought though. Because if you miss even one dose, it could mess around with your emotions quite a bit. If it seems like that's the only possible way to help her feel better though, you should tell her.
Also if it's serious, let her know that you're there for her. And that if she ever needs to talk (and doesn't want to talk to a counselor - it can be very intimidating sometimes) that you're also open to talking to her about anything.

well some people want attention ... and i don't think it's a bad thing but i think the wrst thing you could do is to NOT pay attention to her... and make her feel left out
maybe she likes it... i think you better let it go and still hang out with her...

you wouldn't want you friends to leave you just because you're playing some stupid game right??

well, maybe you should ask your friend why she she's gone emo, and if she gives an unreasonable answer, maybe it really isn't worth being her friend

emo does = emotional problems

I would try to get her to speak to someone...Hopefully her parents get her to open up..why she feels she needs to make this kind of statement...Best Wishes*
