It is always going to hurt when something bad happens that you can't understand. But there are no permanent secrets, the reason will come clear, and I bet you find out sooner rather than later! If it is later, by that time you won't even care anymore!
If someone won't tell you something, give you a reason for something they are doing concerning you, that is not fair and you don't really want their friendship. Ultimately it is for the best.

Because they wont tell you why, you are then left forever wondering what on earth you have done wrong! Do they think you are not worthy of their friendship?It is a cruel way to finish a friendship, as it leaves you constantly wondering what you have done to upset them! Believe me, if that friend refuses to discuss the reason behind the relationship finishing, then you are much better off without them!

Because it leaves doubt. You are not being told the whole reason and you start to wonder, what did I do? What did I say? It is never about you, it is about them. If they were truly your friend, they would be honest with you and talk about it. Move on, I would rather have honest people in my life, that can say anything to me, than people who hide behind unspoken words.

It hurts because you are left in doubt. Being a complete cynic I would think that she cannot be your friend anymore and not tell you why, is because she intends to try to steal your boyfriend.

i was in ur exact situation. but i was the one who end this relation. i had a friend wasn't my best but we were friends until she fall in love with this guy who i liked him too. me and him we became best friends and he told me that he likes me. so i couldn't tell her cuz he didn't want me to tell. and i knew that i had to let go of someone but unfortunately i couldn't let go of him and i end it with her. now we are normal. not friends but people. i didn't want to tell her cuz i know that she'll be upset and she'll feel hurt.
sometimes we do stuff but we cant explain why we do it. cuz we don't want to hurt the ones that we love and we care about. some of us feel hurt who friendship is over. cuz when u meet someone and u think that ur friends forever and that u cant survive without him/her. and when it's time to end it, it's pretty hard to get used to the idea that u'll live another day without him/her around u. when u consider someone as ur friend or best friend it's hard to let go of him/her

the hurt comes from your own dependence for your happiness on the relationship with your friend and what he or she thinks of you.it is not what someone does to you that hurts but your own chosen response to what is done to you that hurts badly. if you take the view that you will have to carry your own sunshine with you then no one can really make you feel hurt badly.

hey. it's hard isn't it. it hurts because you don't know the reason why. and in your life time, you might never figure it out why. i have a problem about friends too. haha. it's really hard to think about what you have to do. but in time you'll figure it out.
