Friends - February 2007

Well...i am 19 years old...my life seems to be in the dumps all i do is go to work and go to a community college. all i do really is hang out with my boyfriend which he is my best friend..but since high school my friends have changed and someone ditched me it feels. Its hard to make good good friends at community college..i met people yes..but not anything comsistent you know what i am saying? Is anyone going through this or has? help i feel like hell

I recently made friends with a girl who is a nice person, but certainly not one of my close friends. The problem is, she keeps confiding all of these horribly intimate details about her life with me- and it's really begining to bug me!! She tells me about when she has her period, what sexual position she and her boyfriend used last night etc. The thing is, we've only just met!! I find it a bit overwhelming and strange that somebody you've only just met would tell you such things. I'm certianly not encouraging her, or telling her any of my private buisness, but I want her to stop trying to get so close to me so quickly. She's a nice enough person, I just find it irritating that she is doing this! How do I stop her from divulging so much and getting me involved with her private issues without being rude to her?

my bestest friend in the whole world - we use to send like every waking moment together but now she id always with her boy friend(my ex) and she like made us break up but i forgave her cause they make a really cute couple but she never spends any time with me any more so i told her she shold on an e mail and i wrote tell hi to your boyfriend cause your probley talkin to him right now . and she wrote back and said she was talken to him because cared unlike me!? she stoped helping out at vollyball practice (which she LOVES) cause insted she is with her boyfriend1 what should i do?

Not tha ti want to end the friendship with her but i just cant take the pain that i get when i think about what her and one of her other friends said about my boyfriend and my boyfriend reminds me about it every so often and its really hard to deal with that pain in side and than havin got deal with the pain and the fear of knowin ghis ex girlfriend is trying everythign to get him b/c and there is nothing i can do but think about what he told me does any one have any ideas on how to end a long friendship like that without hurting the person i knwo there is no true way to end a friendship without hurting them but its not easy ending one either

ok i have this guy friend and he is like never really happy.then me and my best friend were reading this magazine and it was talking abt signs ur friend is depressed. so we read it and it like explained him peferctly. and then the artical said it could lead up to suacide. so now me and my friend are kinda scared and we told our teacher and she said she didnt really see him doing it. so what do u think i should do now?

a couple months ago i found out that 2 of my friends smoke and on the weekends they also drink....one of my best friends told me she hates people like that and she would never do anything like that...but last week i went 2 my dad's house and i was going 4 a walk with my step sister and i saw all 3 of them walking down the alley behind my dad's house and they wre all smoking........should i tell the friend that said she would never smoke that i know or just pretend that i never saw it....also i know if i tell her she will deny it......what should i do??

So i'm a Junior in h.s., and a lot of my friends...good friends...drink. I don't because I don't have any want to, and I know nothing good can come out of it. But there are two girls, I thought they were real nice girls, weren't into that...I loved them...they said they HATED people who drink, drugs, etc. Then I find out today that they were at this party the other night...and that they were drinking. This is just such a shocker to me, and I just don't know what to do. Just somebody help me...I don't even wanna see them anymore.

i asked this same question in the singles and dating section
but i wanted to see if i got other answers here
because i know some people don't go to the other sections and usually stay in one lol

went to the movies with my "guy friend" [idk what we are considered] and my friend
so it was him, me, and her sitting in the theatre and about 3/4 of the way into the movie he wanted to "take a break from the movie" and he started to kiss me..so we started making out and then i turned my head away because i felt that i was being rude to my friend.

was i just being rude to her? or to him too? because i didn't really say anything to him about why i stopped and i just kinda left him hanging.
