I'm not sure whether she could or not. It doesn't sound like a realistic threat, to me.

The police certainly don't need to be wasting their time doing something that a parent should be doing themselves. I would suggest you stop being defiant and start going to school so hopefully you can become a productive member of society.
As for if the police can do anything. Probably not, but they can recommend a few things to your mom. Things like boarding or military school are the first two things that come to mind. Other things like grounding you or taking away television or computer rights are another.
Stop trying to find excuses to get out of school and go, you might actually learn something.

If you miss so many days of school, if your mother doesn't call the police....your school will. They are, by law, suppose to call the local police department, and the county attorney, and turn students in for truancy. And your parents will then be the ones to suffer the consequences. Stop being so selfish and go to school. You sound like a spoiled brat.

Yes, you can get in trouble for not going to school. It's called truancy. If you are experiencing problems at school go to the faculty. If they are ignoring a legitimate concern then contact the administrator. If that is not working go to higher channels. It is the schools responsibility to keep you safe.

We all know school isn't fun but she can call the truency officer and let them deal with you. My advice go to school. You are only there what, eight hours? When you get to be my age you really wish you would have done the right thing.

If you disobey her orders to attend school then it's not only right for her to call the Police, it's her legal obligation.
Go to school, or you will end up in family court for truancy.

that is right, she is obligated by law to send you to school, if she doesn't they can lock her up, better you than her, you are younger and could survive jail better. if you don't wanna see a boy. look the other way dummy.

in some school districts, the parents have to pay fines or go to jail if their children do not attend school.
maybe it's time to talk with your mother. you seem to want to act like an adult. talk to her like an adult.

If you don't go to school then she can go to court and even jail for it. YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO HER AND GO TO SCHOOL. I certainly won't get best answer but I must be honest. Good Luck.
