Friends - November 2006

I just moved to a new high school as a junior. I've spent three days so far. What gets to me is lunch period. I spend lunch hour eating alone on the floor in front of everyone. I kinda feel them staring at me and it's kinda awkward when some familiar people ask me, "Hey dude, do you spend your time here everyday?" I don't want to admit it because I'm afraid of embarassment. I've finished all my assignments for today so I have nothing to do. I just sit there... and stare at people.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-social but, however, I'm mildly introverted. I talk alot when I'm in class, just that I spend lunch alone. I want things to change, you know? Anyone, please leave some advice or comments and feedback or whatever.

Thanks to everyone (if anyone) who spends some of their time to share thoughts.

i was thinking about getting her somthing from like tiffanys but the only thing that i figured shed liek was a ring but idk that doesnt seem goodenough gosh idk because i just want to get her something that will make her be like wow! and well this is like our first christmas as best friends and it will be the first thing that i will get her so i just want it to be soemthing good you know? My best friend and i were planning to go on a holiday. We wanted a holiday were we could just sit on a beach or beside a pool and relax for about a week. We had been talking about it for about a year but we had both been too busy. Now i am not busy and neither is she and i asked her if she wanted to go to bali because flights were pretty cheap and ive bee nthere before and it was really nice. And anyway, she said to me "oh well this person (another friend of ours) has asked me to go to queensland on the gold coast for a week so i dont think i will be able to afford both". Now i am really angry with her and i am trying to control it and just get over it but its not like she invited me or asked me or anything like that, its just the two of them going and im angry because we had been talking about going on a holiday for ages. Do i have a right to be annoyed ?

Okay they're fussing on me, most of the time for no reason. I don't know why they don't like me. It happens in three classes, Science, English, and Reading. In the other classes they don't bother me. The principal won't change those three classes and put me in another. And it happens every single day. They even fuss on me in FRONT OF THE TEACHER! But she didn't do anything. They don't want to fight, just talk trash about me. They've even turned two of my best friends against me. It's so annoying, I've told them to leave me alone but it don't work. Our school is going to have a "bullying program" but who knows if that'll help. What should I do??? Please help me!!

My friend and I have been friends for 13yrs. We work together. We basically like sisters coz she & I knows everything about us..until 1 day we were out smoking with some of our co-workers, and I don't know how did we end up talking about left handed people, and my friend all of the sudden made a comment that left handed are "losers"! I couldn't believe what I've heard (because I'm a LEFT handed) I look at her & told her that "you know that I'm a left handed?" and she said that she didn't know. I was hurt...so I walked away and didn't talk to her for the rest of the day. The next day I was waiting for her to apologize, but instead she told me that I was over reacting and don't take it seriously! Was I over reacting?..was I upset with her for commenting left handed loser?...or maybe disappointed that she didn't know that I'm a left handed?

its all cuz my mom got some news that my big brother was drinking, doing all sorts of drugs and crap. now my parents are sending him away or at least kicking him out. he heard me crying and he asked and i said cuz of you. im going to miss you. he said he was going to try to visit me as much as possible. am i doing the right thing letting him visit me , but my parents dont approve of it.
