Friends - November 2006

I have a friend at my college. A while ago, I asked her out, but that didn't go over to well. More recently, she stated that she wanted to remain my friend, but has not acted like it. When I speak with her, she often seems remote or unfriendly, sometimes online she will be friendly with me... it seems like it is off and on, and it is very frustrating. An example is that when I was talking to her one day, I offered to lend her something, the next, it was refused when I brought it; I don't know what to do, and I am honestly very frustrated here.

I am a 26 yr. old woman. I left all my old friends after getting married at age 17. Besides members of my husbands or my family, I really dont have anyone to talk to, shop with, etc. Some things you just can't or wouldn't want to say to a family member. I'm not involved in any activities and only work with my mother-in-law. What do you think I should do in order to find someone that I can really click with?

Last night my frined was on the chat rooms and so was i, any way we were havin banter in the room, next thing i know im gettin a message from a comlete stranger tellin me information about myself, i was freakin out, how did this man get it??? and i begged and begged my friend is she givin out info to someone just for the laugh and she denied and i got more scared how did he know all this, but it turned out it was her makin some lad do it, what would u say ti ur frined if they did this??

i lived with this girl for a year and we were the best of friends. but things turned sour between me and the guy we lived with and even though we said we'd go our seperate ways,she ended up moving in with him and another girl from our group who i dont really like. thing is,i've hardly seen my friend since and she doesnt seem to care...she says one thing and then does another or goes back on her word.she can get quite prickly sometimes so i dont know how to broach the subject with her...should i just forget about her or try to talk it out? please help, we're not kids here - we're 24/25!

I was browsing drunk girl pics on a blog yesterday (What can I say.. I'm male, if I wasn't interested in that stuff I'd either be gay or dead) In the photo gallery I saw a nip slip picture of a friend of mine. My friend would neither knowingly allow a picture like this to be taken, nor allow it posted for public view online. It was obviously taken without her knowledge, and she was most likely unaware of the revealing possition of her tank top at the time.

I felt that as her friend I should tell her about the pic and send her a link to see for herself, However I am afraid it would be embarasing to hear about this from her male friend that she knows used to be crushing on her. I am probably one of the last people she would have wanted to see something like this. Damage is done as I emailed her about thislast night.. Did I do the right thing or should I have kept quiet about this?

right im 16 and female my parents are sooo over protective towards me than when my brother was 16 he was allowed to go out pretty much when he wanted and was treated more as an adult I don't undrstand y im not it really anoys because im startin to lie to my parents so that I actually can go out Ive told them this but they say we are treated the same and were not what cn i do??

What's the difference between dating a girl and just going out as friends?

I keep going out with my close female friend, we go to dinner, lunch together and for drinks in the evening. We also take roadtrips together to the coast and to the country for walks, usually followed by dinner and its just the 2 of us.This happens at least every 2 weeks, if not on a weekly basis. While we're out we flirt, tell each other everything, feel very comfortable with each other, sort of act as a couple....

I've noticed that she does not like it when I mention other girls that have caught my eye, she changes the subject ASAP. When I mention if she's interested in anyone, the answer is always no,she hasn't pulled anyone when out,etc...we kissed once after 1 night out(a few months bck) but nothing since,just keep meeting up,in constant touch etc

Would this be dating? What does my friend see this as? Is this a relationship,what type?

If this is a platonic bond, why can't I mention other girls?

It can come stupid to you but it's a problem for me..I taught her the subjects that she didn't understand(all subjects), I solved questions for her for the exam..And today in the exam she got higher mark..I'm very jealous when she gets higher mark.Because isn't it unfair when I'm good at this subject but I get lower and she's bad at this but gets higher?..I say 'I won't teach her again' but then I think that she is my best friend and I must..I know that it's wrong to think that she mustn't get higher marks..But I can't stop thinking like that..What can I do?

Okay, I got up and took a shower this morning, went to school, and completely forgot to brush out my hair. I get to school, and this snobish ***** says "Are you going to brush your hair?" I replied "yeah, just not right now, let it dry some.". Well then she replied with "It looks disguisting" I replied with " Well your face looks disgusting, and no one says anything about yours" Now mind you I am constantly annoyed with this girl and her friends. I did have a brush with me in my backpack and i did brush my hair now, I just wanted to let it dry so that the back of my shirt wouldn't be so wet.How should I deal with her next time she says something to me?

I like him alot and i THINK he likes me but I'm too shy. He sits next to me and has the girl that every boy likes/wants and she's real mean. But even though she's mean she gets practically every thing she wants.
