Why don't you all dress up as your Mom, during 8 major stages of her life.

One of you as a baby, the someone as a young girl, then a teenager, then when she got married, then one of you pregnant, then one of you in her work uniform, then one of you as she looks now, then one of you as Darth Vader because I have ran out of ideas.

Try dressing everyone how she dressed when she was a teenager. If she grew up in the 50's or was a teen in the sixties, do either saddle back shoes and poodle skirts or do the hippy theme. Have fun whatever you do!!!

How about having a "50's" party! Use that decade as a theme for your costumes, the decor, music, even the food!

If it's just family try a 'Sound of Music' theme. Very cheesy but you mum could be surprised with a Maria outfit!

Wot about Bad Taste..... you have a budget of £5 and have to shop for clothes / shoes and accessories in a charity shop...guaranteed laugh..!

Also you could dress up as a chav....lots of lacoste shoes, stripey jumpers and big gold hoop earrings..

go back to her days, find clothes that she used to wear as a teen.....take her back in time so she can reflect on her memories...or you could go as the addams family, or the brady bunch, or even the osmonds, or what about the famous people who have died, like elvis, jimi hendrix, janis joplin marylin monroe etc....have a look online also, i hope that you all have fun...good luck

Get people to dress up according to the year that they were born. I did this for my 30th and it worked really well. Have fun.

You could all dress up as children and play things like pass the parcel and pin the tail on the donkey and you could make fairy bread and stuff like that. Good luck!
