Friends - October 2006

Everything was fine the week before, we were in touch as usual (we usually txt each other everyday) and we're very close. She txt saying how she couldn't even touch another bloke when she went clubbing on Saturday. Said she didn't know what was going on with herself. When I asked her to meet up this evening for a quick drink she said no. Then she said she wasn't sure when we'd meet again and that she'll get in touch. I asked what the matter was, she told me that she's got a lot on her mind and don’t want me to contact her. We didn't argue or fall out over anything.

What’s going on with her? This has really surprised me!

he says hes always been in love with me ever since high school. he said that if i knew how hard it was when i got married, he was the best man.he also lived with us after we got married . he tells me it was so hard for him seeing me get hurt by my husban but he couldn't say anything since we both were his friends. what should i do. i love him but can't see myself with him in that way. i mean hes wonderful but i don't want to hurt him or myself. so what should i do? please help.

This friend and I have recently gone our seperate ways due to difference, nothing to big, just you cannot be honest with her, or she is insulted and takes everything so personally(which we had 3 recent disagreements, the last one ended things for us). So to make a long story short I tried to maintain some contact with her through email and stuff but no response, BUT recently she had decide that life is to short and we should try and start fresh. She agree to be honest and not take things to heart and will try to be upfront as well. We tried this one time before and when I was honset with her BOOM,, that's it she was done with me !! Help should I try again or avoid the whole thing who needs the headache

Given the minority is always suggested ( as was on TV last night Monday) that they are being ostracised, why do we also feel threatened by this word Muslim?

when other religions protest, why do we not see words like
" Behead them" or "Kill the infidel" on their placards, why ? why?

A hate we have never seen before apart from in Muslim countries, is now upon us.

"The Vail!" I find this most distressing, as do many of my friends, they are seperating themselves from facial recognition on their own terms, and we cannot or must not object.

I have every respect for those who come into this country and settle within our laws.

We have freedom of speach, or do we?, this is not so these days, to speak out even in jest could surmount to one's execution.

This is very sad indeed, a sad day for a people who have fought for this freedom.

I judge this in it's context, and to feel threatened by a single word, is almost beyond comprehention.

Sad indeed, very sad.

ive been given the oppurtunity to go to switzerland for a year, next year so ill miss out on my a level studies, to work and study and live with one of my friends out there. ia m seriously considering it so i told my mate who is like my mentor in life, and since then she has been really off with me, not talking to me like she used to! she says that she wants the best for me and that it is a great oppurtunity but i know that she doesn't like the idea! i just wish that she'd talk to me about it! HELP!

i have a huge problem!
i was best friends with someone who im not friends with anymore!
they brought their computer to my house and left it here as their housing was complicated at the time......
the my ex-friend jumped on my expensive!!! KING SIZED bed when they were drunk and seriously broke it (not just the struts that frame snapped!)
now i haven't talked to them for a while and they want to come and pick up their pc but my partner is obvuiusly pissed off with them and want my friend to pay for the bed before they can have the pc bk!
now my ex-friend is treating leagel action!! what shall i do?

i dont know how to read (in the spiritual sense) my best friend, when we are alone, she's cool, we chat and we have a right laugh but when there are other people around she doesn't acknowledge me in the same way! the other day we spent an hour together after school just hangin out listening to music and stuff and we had a really good time but the next day she didn't even say anything about it!

we've been close for like years.. he's cute and all.. but I really don't feel anything for him.. just brotherly love.. my heart doesn't flip when he's around or anything.. and for the past days.. he's been sending me signs that he likes me.. you know what guys do when they like you.. well. that is what he's doing to me.. ok I have a friend. whenever i text him he doesn't text back, he only talks to me on msn or in person. it will take me ages to get his attention and by the time i do i will have forgotten what to say. the only thing that has stopped me from ending the friendship earlier is that he was there for me when it really mattered. it annnoys me and gets me angry but when i try to contain my anger i just feel upset. what do i do?
