if that's your opportunity to fulfill your dreams and goals in life grab the chance fast and be excited and get busy with all the preparations cause there's nothing better than doing what you want for your life rather than to live with regrets at the end of the day. if your friend choose to be like that to you for whatever reason how encouraging and good is the friend? there are no jealousy in a strong bond of friendship.

last couple of years i made a huge decision as well leaving my best - close friend back home to fulfill my dreams and goals in life and it was the hardest decision cause i've to leave her but she's kind and very supportive and shares all the joy cause she knows i deserves it and it's nothing better than doing things for yourself cause if we can't no one else can.

enjoy switzerland it's a place to be, you will love it and might even want to stay after all (",)

Well, you could make a point of getting your friend's e-mail and messaging address so that you can have regular contact while you're away. Otherwise, have a great time, and it's an opportunity you shouldn't pass up. It may be that she's a little jealous?

maybe she is jealous, or wishes she could go as she will miss you and doesn't want to be left on her own - who knows. If you want ot go, you definately should - you can always do A levels at college later

Go! You will regret it otherwise! If she was a true friend she would be happy for you and still be there when you return! After all, it's only a year! It'll fly by!
