ok I have a friend. whenever i text him he doesn't text back, he only talks to me on msn or in person. it will take me ages to get his attention and by the time i do i will have forgotten what to say. the only thing that has stopped me from ending the friendship earlier is that he was there for me when it really mattered. it annnoys me and gets me angry but when i try to contain my anger i just feel upset. what do i do?

I would not bother to tell him.

OK, he was there at crunch time but never again. Keep in touch if you want to but he does not sound worth the fuss to me.

Maybe he doesn't know how to use the text facility on his phone. Maybe it's not switched on or near him when you text. Maybe he thinks that he'll be seeing you soon so can reply when he does.

If he's talking to you in person and on msn, then I don't think there's really a problem. How did people communicate before there were text messages? Why/when/what circumstances do you need to attract his attention? Do you mean when he's talking to someone else or in class or something? If you see he's busy, write a note to remind yourself if it's really that important and speak to him when he's free.

Why end a good friendship when he's been there for you when you needed him over something that's really quite trivial, if you don't mind me saying? He's not ignoring you completely, just not answering texts. To be honest, I ignore texts on the whole too because I find them very intrusive. If I want to talk to someone, I will do it when I am at leisure to speak to them for as long as I like, not in some abbrieviated language that actually means nothing to no one. Perhaps he feels the same.

Why not just tell him how you feel? He probably has no idea.

Plus true friends are hard to fine and as he was there for you when it really mattered then I wouldn't chuck a friendship away on an issue that can easily be fixed.

Good luck!

Do you ask him questions when you text him? Why don't you just ring him up instead of texting him? Some people aren't into the text thing.

you've not been very clear on the question, but it is better to speak what u think, honesty is the best policy! if your friend doesn't like it then your friend is not being honest with you...
