he says hes always been in love with me ever since high school. he said that if i knew how hard it was when i got married, he was the best man.he also lived with us after we got married . he tells me it was so hard for him seeing me get hurt by my husban but he couldn't say anything since we both were his friends. what should i do. i love him but can't see myself with him in that way. i mean hes wonderful but i don't want to hurt him or myself. so what should i do? please help.

That is super hard! Are you divorced from your husband, because if you are why not go for the friend? He could be everything that your husband wasn't! He has been a friend for 13 years, and he knows probably alot about you. sometimes the people right in our faces are the ones we need, but alot of times we want to be hard-headed and go for the deciever(s). Why?

The best thing you can do is to be 100% honest with him. Don't give him any hope for a relationship if there is no hope. Tell him that you love him ...but as a friend only and you do not see those feelings changing in the future. He will not be happy....but you are his best friend so try to support him thru it if he lets you. GOOD LUCK...I hope it all works out for you both!
