Friends - September 2006

I met this guy on Y! Answers and we exchanged email addresses. I told him how old I was (but I was lying) and he told me plenty of things that are really cool. We've been talking for about 3 weeks and I just told him how old I really am. He used to flirt with me and I'd flirt with him. Now that he knows he won't anymore. Any thoughts? Should I have told him? I felt bad about lying but I really like him. He's so nice.

I don't mean it in a depressing way. I mean a lot of us take a big beating from the world. I'm just wondering, is it too much? Is life really worth all the pain that most, if not all, of us recieve time after time. Should we not quit, stop fighting and accept our fate.

My fourteenth birthday is soon and there are three girls that I want to come. We have had scary movie nights at their houses and we are so close. And there is a fourth girl, "Lily". She was my BEST friend since first grade (in 8th now) but for the past few years she has been very rude to me. I cant just forget about her though, for I go to a really small school and some other kids are mean to Lily. My mom wants me to have her to the sleepover but I dont REALLY want to. I dont think the three girls would like it very much, since they arent great friends with Lily. They don't hate her, but she can get on their (and my) nerves. I have already told the three girls that I want to have a scary movie night/party so I cant just cancel, and I dont want to let my (former?) best friend down because we have always done things for birthdays. I feel as if I would be breaking some little club we have with the three girls if I invited Lily, but my mom really wants me to.

Stephanie has been my best friend since kindergaurten and she has never said anything like she did today. We are going to join drama club and it does not start to 3. so i am gonna go to authors studio untill it is time for drama. i like to write and i am pretty good at it. She waz all like why are you joining that club? it is so stupid! I hate writing in general and you are doing it in your spare time?
What should i do?
i do not want to like ditch her becuz she was a good friend untill today.

My guy friend wanted to kiss me good bye the other night and I refused; he said it was okay and it was just a way to demonstrate his affection and love for me. I believe people should only kiss when they're in love with each other or else it loses its magical touch. Cuz its not right (for me) to go around kissing all your loved ones in the mouth. My four friends passed on Monday. (Car wreck) I knew them okay, but not well. I had known them for years and years. But people got up and said (about Isaac) how great he was, and if you needed a friend, he'd be more then happy, and how much he loved so dance with people. Swing dance especially.

How do I live down the regret of not getting to know them like brothers, when the oppurtunity was always there?

As a probe, I just have some voice mails where he said, he is not gonna pay me. How can I make him pay? I didn't make him sign any legal document. I thought I could trust him, and is been a year already. How can I get a lawyer that could help me on this case? I really need my money back..!! Please help me!!

She has been my bf for 25+ years. Her, myself and my boyfriend at the time had a little fling together like 2 years ago. No one ever knew about it..except for the 3 of us. Then earlier this year she decides to have an affair with her neighbor..begged her not to..only cause I knew that it would come back to bite her..and it did..her husband found out and also ended up finding out about our little thing as well. Anyways...she ended up moving out of state to get away from the neighbor and was told that she couldn't speak to me at all in order for her to work it out with husband. It kind of pissed me off...you know I have been there for her through everything and all of a sudden he says she can't talk to me...wtf?? We always made a pack that no guys would ever come between us...Should I just write her off or wait for her to come back to me???

What do you think of men who constantly say that other women are hot right in front of their girlfriends? This includes other friends of the gf, celebrities, random chicks on the street...etc. For example a friend of mines bf, always says other chicks are hot right in front of her. He said that his friends girlfriend has a nice rack right to her, and right in front of his own gf, and when they went to the bar said that this 40 year old chick was hot and would be trying to get with her tonight if he was single RIGHT in front of her, and things like that...what do you think? I confronted her about this and asked her if it bothers her, it seems like she lets him walk on her, and she just laughs and says, "Oh, he's just joking." I can't imagine putting up with that crap, I think she deserves better, but oh well I guess that is her problem if she puts up with it.

Well it all started when i was friends with 2 woman lets call them a and b anyway a &b use to talk about a woman named c they didnt even know her, well i didnt like that a & b where talking about c so i be friended c and told c what a & b where saying well c went and confronted a&b in front of me and they all made it out like i started the gossiping and they went along with it and they have all become friends and none of them are speaking to me but are rude around me and i really dont know what to do as its really hard to do the school run around all 3 woman, i did say something about c too and than thought that it wasnt like me to say thing about someone i didnt know so decided to stop being friends with a&b and got to know c,anyway we all have bit**ed about eachother and i dont really know what the problem is but they are all happy together not that i want to be apart of it i just want an easy hassle free life and ideas?? or is this really my fault cause i think we all did wrong!!

So my friend gave me a ride to school today... and I understand that it is very nice of her to give me one... but all of a sudden she picks up another kid and they start smoking weed on the way to school. It makes me highly uncomfortable... I'm all right being around her smoking cigs ( I mean it is her car), but I think that the weed is a little unnecessary. Anyway, my sister was getting a ride today too... she is 3 years younger than I am... and so after she got a ride from her, she told one of her friends what happened... anyway it got back to my friend who drove us and she sent me a text message saying that my sister should consider herself lucky to be getting a ride and that it is f*ed up that she talked bad about her smoking. so basically... Am I wrong for thinking that my friend is being extrememly over reactive about the situation... she is getting mad at me because my sister and her did not like her smoking weed this morning? I am not driving with her to school anymore though

My wife and I have a great relationship and marriage but she's not very happy being a stay home mom?

With our 2 girls one 10 and the other 18 months. She has always been very social and have a lot of friends and now she has lost them cause she has no time for them. I want her to be happy. what should i do? any nice woman out there with kids want to be friends with my wife? she is a really fun and interesting and good person.

So I asked a question last week about my friend who has been contacting me way to much. I have since then told this person to chill a little and have been ignoring him. However I am new to the group of friends and have 2 people I really trust (one is a friend of my brothers and the other is just a sweet stand up person who is my brothers friend's best friend) anyways the to much contact person has started spreading nasty rumors about me and at my age it seems childish (mid 20's) and very lame, it has made the last few days difficult with my new friends calling me saying "OMG why is he saying these things" as they all know it isn't true but the point is it is still a little hurtful. So I guess my question is how shoudl I go about severing the friendship and not suffering the scary backlash /stalkerish behaviour?

I have a friend who's boyfriend treats her like dirt. He makes her feels so bad about herself and let's her think that it's all her fault when they fight about something.

She understands all this and knows that he's done it before (in previous relationships) but thinks that she can change him for the better.

I've told her that she should take a good look at how things are and exactly what he is doing. My advice was that if this isn't the first time he's done this to her and that if this is how all his FAILED relationships ended ... then maybe she shouldn't be with him.

She's only setting herself up for the worst of it all by dragging it out longer then necessary ...

My question is this:

"Does anyone have any other advice?"

I'll be glad to get anything. Even advice on why she SHOULD stay with him (even though I think she shouldn't :).
