I met this guy on Y! Answers and we exchanged email addresses. I told him how old I was (but I was lying) and he told me plenty of things that are really cool. We've been talking for about 3 weeks and I just told him how old I really am. He used to flirt with me and I'd flirt with him. Now that he knows he won't anymore. Any thoughts? Should I have told him? I felt bad about lying but I really like him. He's so nice.

This is something YOU put on yourself. 1.) Don't lie about your age-wait here's an easier one: DON'T EVER GIVE YOUR AGE out. There's a bunch of pervs out there. 2.) How do you know this guy is really a guy? What if it's an old man or even a woman?? 3.) NEVER EVER flirt or develop feelings for a person you've never met face to face.

Trust me, real life relationships are better than Internet ones.

Its always best to be honest .. and needless to say maybe due to the fact you were not in the beginning he may have shy'd away from the situation... or you are not a legal age of 18 and he is.

Stop talking to guys on this stupid computer! and stop lying! Go out to a coffee place, mall, church, movies or somewhere else with people your own age & get to know people in person. You are too special and deserve more than a fantasy on a screen, cuz that is what it is! ok?

you shouldn't of lied. That is no way to start out a friendship. I could understand lying about your name or something. But who cares about your age. Most people lie because they know they are doing something wrong.

You shouldnt have lied in the first place....and if its a big age difference than i can understand why he doesnt act like he likes you anymore. You should always be honest.

You should always tell the truth. You have to be careful with the people you meet on web sights. They are not usually nice when you meet them.

A relationship that starts with a lie, even one about age, is doomed. And you don't have to be a girl to know that.
