So my friend gave me a ride to school today... and I understand that it is very nice of her to give me one... but all of a sudden she picks up another kid and they start smoking weed on the way to school. It makes me highly uncomfortable... I'm all right being around her smoking cigs ( I mean it is her car), but I think that the weed is a little unnecessary. Anyway, my sister was getting a ride today too... she is 3 years younger than I am... and so after she got a ride from her, she told one of her friends what happened... anyway it got back to my friend who drove us and she sent me a text message saying that my sister should consider herself lucky to be getting a ride and that it is f*ed up that she talked bad about her smoking. so basically... Am I wrong for thinking that my friend is being extrememly over reactive about the situation... she is getting mad at me because my sister and her did not like her smoking weed this morning? I am not driving with her to school anymore though

oh by the way. I don't smoke weed... nor do I plan to... and I was friends with this girll... I am responsible... its just you don't expect someone who is giving you a ride to just start smoking weed... or maybe you do?

Your in the right.... people that smoke weed have problems of there own it was VERY wrong for her to do this to you, She should of had respect for you and your sister since you both do not smoke so u are in the right with being mad and so is your sister.... tell this girl that u didn't like it and that you would appreciate that she doesn't do it again around you or your sister

Smoking pot is bad news and illegal. Your friends can get into trouble using it. It also distorts depth perception. You are lucky you weren't in a wreck. The smoke can really mess up your lungs with second hand smoke. You also can set a bad example to your younger sister by telling her with your actions that you put up with it to get what you want. No you are not overreacting. You don't need to be around it. It's nothing but trouble.

You don't need a "friend" like your pot-smoking chauffeur. People who drive under the influence of any substance kill people. I've seen the results in person, pulled screaming victims from mangled wrecks, and felt people die under my hands as I was giving them chest compressions.

This is my advice....
The car belongs to your friend and so she can do whatever she wishes in her car. You have the choice not to ride with her. Just tell her that you don't want your clothes to smell of whatever she is smoking. So for that reason you will not ride with her. Simple.

no, you are not wrong, she should have been more considerate of how you and your sister felt. She is upset because with your sister telling, she could get caught and then get into trouble.. I would not hang with her any more, nor ride with her, you will be in trouble as well if she gets pulled over... Good Luck
