Need some suggestions on how to start a friendship with other couples.... I have been divorced for over a year and my boyfriend has been divorced for about five years. We both have worked throughout our married lives isolated ourselves to old school friends due to previous marriage jealousy and such and now have lost track of those friends. We both have two children are trying to find couples with smiliar interest as family oriented times as well as adult out on the town times.. but, would like to have friends to go with us... Any suggestions on how we can find couples seeking the same... WE are NOT looking for kinky relationships. Just an old fashion traditional friendship that we can do things with our families and occasionally alone with no children. Serious suggestions only please... Thank you.

I recently became e-mail friends with the wife of a guy I had a crush on back in college 20 years ago. She's really great to talk to and reminds me of myself in a lot of ways so I really value our growing relationship. The problem is that I still kind of have feelings for her husband. If she and I are just going to correspond online and I'm not going to try and see her husband do you think that there is any problem here? I have been upfront with her about who I am and that I knew her husband and she doesn't seem to mind.

If it makes a difference, I'm recently divorced.

ok, heres the deal, this boy talks to me evry now and then......but never looks me in the face...does that meen he likes me or he's just a little nervous..cause he's new and doesnt really talk to anybody but boys and ive seen him look other girls in the eye, but we had like a full conversation and not one look at me....so does it meen he likes me or is just a little nevous on his like......4th day at school (hes a new student)------and i have another frend whos a boy and talks to me a lot, and everytime he does something funny, he looks at ME to see if i laugh (which i do) does this meen HE likes me too or were just frends......cause he talks to me more than any other girl......??????

I have a friend who has been my friend since the 5th grade. Her man is a big time dealer and now she sits like she is on a pedestal and we both grew up in the hood. They spend money like it grows on trees. When I talk to her about problems I have like bills she lies and acts like she has those same problems but she doesn't. She doesn't associate with me if her man is around because I guess he thinks less of me because I can't go and spend money at any time or go to the club whenever. They don't want anyone to know where they live because they are so afraid someone wants what they have. I feel if anything they shouldn't know where I live. I am a hard working taxpayer and I should be afraid I will be hurt by someone chasing them because of their lifestyle. I let her know where I live now but when I move I plan on letting her go because she is not a friend. So tell me would you be the same way?

when i moved here, a lot of boys were staring at me. i thought they were making fun of me, but my new friend jessica said that there were a ton of boys who liked me. of course, i was in shock, because as far as i knew, no boy had ever liked me in my life, except for some kid that lived 100 miles away from my school and another kid a year younger than me. jessica told me about this 6 months ago. now, just today, i told my other friend jannat about the 1st day because she was curious (we had just become friends because she used to make fun of me, but actually got to know me and now were friends). when i told her what jessica said, she told me not to believe her because jessica apparently lies a lot. i know both of them to gossip a lot and to have big mouths, so who do i believe? someone i just became friends with but used to make fun of me for 5 months straight, or someone ive been friends with ever since i moved?

for about 2 years i have been suffering from having some career disapointments and emotional as well. i spent alot of time with no hope and still. and this makes me un able to put my self together back on track again. now i m many steps after my colleagues i graduated with. and also younger colleagues too. and most are married now. and i m not. and because all of that i didnt gain that much success financially.all of these ideas furstrate me more and more. they work as a cycle of thoughts wich each leads to the next. i realize that this is very wrong thinking pattern. but when i stop it. it comes back again.. i cant stop feeling depresed from these ideas.
How to stop this thinking pattern?
How to feel hope in my future again? realizing that i m steps away backward from my colleagues?
Is it real to stop thinking about what others expect me to do?
How to stop thnking about my past mistakes that makes me feel so stupid infront of myself?

My friends have been giving me a lecture about materialism. It supposedly pisses them off that I buy presents for friends and they keep saying I can give them something more or something else. When I tell them I'm not basing friendships on what I gifts I receive or give to a person, they ask me then what does the gift represent? What DO gifts represent? If it does represent anything other than a gesture, appreciation for the receiver, or simply celebrating another year one has lived his/her life. I need some unbias opinions as my friends all have their mind set on bias ways of thinking and reasoning, such as, "if the present represents nothing, then why even buy one when you can give them something else?" So tell me your thoughts. What is the meaning and representation of gift giving? Does it make you a materialistic person?

Stay at home moms fuss about working moms, working moms fuss about stay at home moms, women without children talk negatively about moms with children and moms with kids feel "sorry" for women without kids. Why do we do this? Why can't we as women support other women and their decisions? Just want some others views on this.
