NO! Stop being so hot! Do you honestly think someone who'll be going to high school will even admit to dating a sixth grader. He'll be berated and chastised by all of his friends. No young boy will go through that at that age. I'm assuming you probably look older than you really are which is why you might have attracted him. But all he will do with you is take your virginity (assuming you still have it) and dump you. There is no way he could or would ever date you seriously.
Just get over it and wait a few years. These boys out here will make a fool out of you. Trust me.

You're in 6th grade. You shouldn't be "dating". You can't go anywhere anyway... neither of you drives. Which brings me to the matter of what is "Age Appropriate" for your age. 2 years is no big deal when you're in your later teens and older. When your 11 it's a big deal. When you're 11 you should take advantage of the time you have left to just be a kid! Save dating for later, you'll be much happier and so will your mom. I'm sure you know the responses telling you to "go for it", to do things behind your mom's back, etc... are from people who really don't care about what choice you make. There's a lot of good advice here for you, pay attention and you'll do well!

If you are a girl in grade 6 that means you are about 11 years old. He is probably 13 or 14. I hope that at 11 you are not dating yet. I also hope you never beg for anything. It looks like you could do with a little growing up and counselling. At age 11 you should be with others yur age. If you beg for a guy at any age you become his prostitute immediately. You are a babe in the woods sexually and you need to be careful.

Being nearly 30 years old..I would have to say this..It IS only 2 years difference in age, but that IS a young age..you should be focused on school while you are young and have a great chance to make something of yuorself..then go for a "hottie" that has a degree! Don't beg mom, do the emails and letter writing and flirting, but be careful anf keep your focus..

I am just pulling out my calculator, you are in 6th grade which would make you 10 or 11. And this juicy guy is 12 or 13....
OK I have a 13 year old son and I will give the low down on boys this age. They ain't worth fighting for. They smell bad and they stockpile dirty socks under their bed. Their friends will always come first and they will ignore you if their friends start teasing him about you. They don't listen to their Mom and as sure as heck won't listen to you. (In case I sound like a cruel mother, I love my son very much, but I am being realistic)
My girls can't date til they're 16, I think your mom (bless her for having a spine) is on the right track. I could think of a million things better to do than worry about this stuff.
Good luck, love, someday your prince will come!

Never beg for a boy. Try making nice to the boys in your grade, that way when your whole class is older and subsequently cuter, you'll have all the time in the world with the boys who already like you. Plus, you'll always be in the same school.

When I was in 6th grade I dated an 8th grader. I don't think it makes any difference. But if you wanted to date a 10th or 11th grader, that's when I would be upset.
