Sometimes people jump into marriage without really defining it. They get caught up in the sex, and the newness of a relationship. But do we really stop and look at our partners and define " what marriage means?" Maybe if we did this divorce rates would drop and so would the rates of marriage. Sometimes we just need to step aside from our feelings and look deeper.

OK. I'm 16, 6', and black. I've never had a girlfriend before. The girl (who I will not name) is my age, a reasonably close height, and indian. I've known her from the 3rd or 4th grade, and have always had a crush on her. I think I broke the world record for having the longest crush on a specific girl (lol). But anyway, she's a nice girl, i'm a nice guy (as in not a jerk), but we don't really talk that much, and haven't since elementary school. She's single and has been single for a while. She likes to dance, but (unfortunately) sprained something related to the knee/leg, and won't be dancing until after it fully heals (the cast is off, though!).

Our parents are friends and occasionally go to concerts/dinner together (not that often, though). They have just started that after my parents' friend introduced them to her parents (who they immediately recognized from elementary school). Our moms know each other because of an "interesting" event that occurred in elementary school.

I like her, and I still do. I accidently ripped something that belonged to her friend, and now she hates me. I know she liked me before, but now, I think she just, absolutely hates me. I couldn't say sorry to her friend because I hated her friend. What should I do? She doesn't even talk to me online anymore.

Ok I really like this guy maybe even love him. But he was kinda being mean to me and saying that he could call anyone why would he call me and he was like acting jealous when he saw my text messages from another guy. And so my dream ok...we were sitting down him and me and then we starts like taking his finger and playing with like the hole in my ripped jeans and was acting like he wanted to hold my hand and then he gives me this look...like he likes me. Broke up with my gf. It wasn't a hard break, but she took it hard. I still like her as a friend. I have overheard her saying that she wants to win me back, but this isn't something that is likely to happen. However, i just heard from a mutual friend that she is just looking to be friends. 've been w/ my boyfriend, 'bob' for a while now. he's truly the perfect boyfriend. he's always there for me, but sometimes i think that he's just there physicaly, but not mentaly. he really cares about me. he tries to make me happy, but i really need my space. he's there all the time. even though we have our moments, most of the time i'm not happy. i don't feel it. exept for the feeling of suffication.
i met this other guy,'tim' a few days ago. we have a lot in common, and i feel so comfortable around him. he makes me laugh, and just feel better. he's there for me, but gives me my space. he knows about Bob and wants me to dump bob for him. i of course refuse. Tim is getting impatient of me rejecting him, and Bob knows there's something going on with me.
when i'm with Tim, i can't help but feel that i'm somehow betraying Bob. and the other day, i was with Bob, and i saw Tim's face instead.(awkward) it totally killed it. that's not right.

i have seen my child eat bugers and have told her it will give her worms.i've even gone so far as to tell her it will make her sick and die. i understand a lot of kids do this. i've caught my grand son and rrecently saw aonther kid at school do the same. it's discusting to say the least. please help. pissinaro

I have jealousy/security/selfesteem issues. I'm 22 and I go to the gym every day (sometimes twice on my days off work), I buy the latest clothing, I have facials, I get my nails & hair done reguarly. I feel like i'm in competition with every female out there.
My ex (of 8months) who I miss & think of everyday :(.. broke up with me because i was 'too possessive'. Which i know i am but i can't help it. Whenever i see him talk or even look at a female i fly out in a jealous rage. Well maybe not a rage as such, but i get really annoyed. I know there are heaps other better looking females than me..I spend at least 2 hours in the morning to get ready for work..I feel like im obssessed because I know that looks fade. What am I going to do when I turn 40..I really don't know.. Can u give me a bit of advice.

I'm a secretary. The people there are nice but it's really nothing more then a paycheck. Filing, faxing, answering phones ... this is not how I want to spend my days.

When I was younger college wasn't an option. It was pay for tution or pay for rent. I was living off a box of .69 cent mac'n'cheese made with powdered milk (sans butter - too expensive) and making it last a week so forget things like text books. I took on a secretary job to make ends meet and gave up trying to go to school.

I'm married now and my husband is encouraging me to go back to school if it's what I want to do. And I do. I really do. But, I don't want to put our lives on hold for four or five years to get my degree. It doesn't seem fair to make him responsible fincially while I go to school. And having to get a part-time job also means a lot less time with my hubby and our pets (no kids). But I'm so depressed during the day I could cry.

What would you do?
