When i was a child my father was very agressive and violent, i have been brought up around violence and family hatred. I keep contatc with him but not alot. I am older now and i am really worried if i will turn out like him, i would really hate to be like him and treat my children like he did to me and my siblings. Is there a really big chance of me turning out like him????

So i've known my friend for a loooooong time, we've always hit it off well. Hes a good looking guy, but arrogant to a fault. Anyways, he has this whole thing of thinking hes really good with the ladies (huge exxageration) but he has a tendancy to go after anything with two x chromosomes and legs. Unfortunatly, he does succeed sometimes, so it bolsters his confidence. anyways, i don't know what to do because i'm a but nervous to bring my gf near him. my other best friend has the same issues w/ his gf. ok, so me and my bf of 3 yrs recently broke up a week ago because he went psycho and threw my table and tore down my door beads and yelled at me, etc, etc. so we sort of got back together, for a few days friends only, and now were together "working things out". but i dont want my friends and family to know that im stupid enough to take him back again...yet. and now everyone is trying to set me up with all their guy friends and i cant say "no, me and my ex are back together" cause then ill look stupid and nieve. so what the crap do i do or say??

I need advice. I have recently came into contact with an old friend. Since January of this year we have been talking non stop...daily emails, text messaging, instant messaging, and phone calls are exchanged...we have fun, we joke around with each other, we tease each other, we hang out when possible ( she lives out of town ), we have many things in common...I have no way of gauging if she likes me more then a friend. She won't ever talk about other guys around me. She leaves work and most of the time almost immediately messages me to see what I am up too...
Recently she came to visit and stayed...we hung out...at times I noticed that we were kinda nervous around each other like trying to show our best side...she was real quiet...not usual for her. I did catch her a couple times staring at me...when I noticed and looked over she turned away... These are things I have noticed but cannot tell either way. I am oblivious. Should I go for it...or wait to see what happens.
