I need advice. I have recently came into contact with an old friend. Since January of this year we have been talking non stop...daily emails, text messaging, instant messaging, and phone calls are exchanged...we have fun, we joke around with each other, we tease each other, we hang out when possible ( she lives out of town ), we have many things in common...I have no way of gauging if she likes me more then a friend. She won't ever talk about other guys around me. She leaves work and most of the time almost immediately messages me to see what I am up too...
Recently she came to visit and stayed...we hung out...at times I noticed that we were kinda nervous around each other like trying to show our best side...she was real quiet...not usual for her. I did catch her a couple times staring at me...when I noticed and looked over she turned away... These are things I have noticed but cannot tell either way. I am oblivious. Should I go for it...or wait to see what happens.

If it is what you want, be bold. Ask her out knowing that you run the risk that she is not interested. Faint heart never won fair lady.

if you really like her, you should tell her how you feel.. it sounds like she could feel the same , but you also need to think about if she doesn't feel the same ... if you are really good friends then it could not be quite the same if you feel something more for her and she doesn't for you

just ask her straight out how she feels about you and also tell her first how you feel about her
