even though we know what kind of person we want or don't want in our next relationships, invariably we always seem to choose the personality we were looking not to choose?
I understand everybody puts their best "face" on when you 1st meet, yet there seems to be some underlying "thing" that draws us to the wrong person time and again....
This is probably more of a rhetorical question than anything else, nut if you think you may know why, feel free to answer.

I am facing divorce and I have a beautiful almost 4 year old son. My husband came along when my son was 18 months, but I can't live with his lies and cruelty anymore. Since we moved, I don't have a support network anymore and feel guilty that my son will have to go back into daycare. I will have to go back to work in order to leave this man...I just need a little advice or encouragement. Thank you!

Dear all,

I might sound ridiculous but I feel so lonely & not loved enough.

Two days ago was my birthday and my husband just told me happy birthday. and Thats all ..

We are newlyweds even and I planned such a cute simple birthday celebration for him last month.

I wasnt doing that to expect the same kind of effort from him. But I am afraid when I did that it made him more anxious on what to do for mine and ending up doing nothing.

Whenever I told him I like this or that he'd say that he'd get it for my birthday or so forth. Well nothing happened..

I want to excuse him, probably he is overwhelemed or shy or just confused. But in the same time I feel i wanna burst into tears .. I am not myself with him and I cant let go of this silly matter and I dont want to tell him it might push him away.

me and my husband split for a while this year and we have now got back together. i feel happy and glad to be with him and will never go through this again. but i feel so depressed and awful for leeting my marriage get into this state in the first place. i cant concentrate and im trying very hard to put a brave face on to my husband and everyone but inside im almost dying from the pain and guilt. what can i do? i feel scared and sad all the time.. how can i stop myself feeling so bad?

I am in love with a girl who is my colleague in the office. It’s been seven months now with her at the office. She is beautiful & is cute, chirpy,sensitive,intelligent by nature who likes to mingle around well with people around her .On the other hand People say I am humble,polite,sweet,caring,helpful,sensitve,Intelligent and an Introvert.The girl has her own sad past experiences in family with her parents being separated from early childhood.She found a beautiful , sensitive and very caring friend in me as she discussed about her past experiences and the moments & thoughts that we shared when we were together. We both miss each other badly at times we aren’t in the office and it gets difficult to work without each other. We love each others views about life as we had quite similar past experiences about our lives. We both are spiritualistic & feel incomplete without each other.

The Girl says that she loves to be in my friendship & wants me to be her friend for her entire life; she says she wants to be single all her life and wants to do something for the society and animals. I have truly fallen in love with her and expressed my love thoughts with her through SMS, although she never replied those specific Love SMS’s.I also tried to tell her my feelings at times but she ignored to talk to me at those moments and move elsewhere as she could already judged that I am going to tell her about my feelings for her. I want her to be my soul mate and I believe my love for her has the patience and strength to prove its worth and I would always wait for her to accept me. I don’t know what stopping her to accept me as I know she also truly loves me & why is she ignoring the love part of our relationship and just wants to be a friend. It’s getting difficult for me to work as these things certainly affect my mind. Is this my one sided love for her or is the girl still needing some more time to think about me for her life. I would appreciate the reader’s genuine views on this…

I have been with my husband for 4 years married for two. The last two years have not been easy as he gets very defensive and has a bad temper(he's in the marine corp). In the last two years he has: thrown his wedding ring at me, punched the steering wheel in his truck repeadlty, hit and thrown things across the room many times, crushed a bag of potato chips and dumped it all over my living room floor, slammed his fists down on tables, and he has cursed saying **** you, or shut up,... I have tried to stayed with him and work through his anger and help him open up and communicate. This behavior has improved in the last 2-3 months and he communicates a lot more, but i really worry about future behavoir. He is working on it but i don't think its gone. We don't have any chidlren.....do you think this behavoir will continue into the future? This is abuse right?
