Some friendly suggestions:

1) Take time for yourself. Not only doing things you enjoy (or finding a new interest) but also time to grieve. Hurt is a natural process of a broken heart, so don't expect it to go away for at least some time.

2) Get together with friends, family, or other people that make you feel good. Talk with them about what happened if it will be helpful to you. Make sure to be around positive people to make you feel better and give your ego that needed boost.

3) Reflect on the relationship but don't dwell on it. Is there something you could have done better? Did you not see a 'red flag' early in the relationship? Take the negative and turn it into a positive for the next one.

4) Sometimes anger is a totally normal response. If your angry at them and know there isn't a chance of getting together again, get rid of things that remind you of them. Write a letter about how you feel about yourself and towards this other person. Whether you mail it or not is up to you, but "cleaning out" your emotions like this help them to settle back to normal, especially not being so angry afterwards.

5) Don't try dating right away again - it's tempting but only look at that once you feel that you have moved on and are emotoinally ready to share your life with someone again.

6) Lastly, stay busy and look at all the extra free time you'll have to do things you might have not had time for in the past; exercise, learn a new sport, take a small vacation, go someplace new... rediscover yourself and stay busy.

Hope these help a little bit - there is no perfect solution but I've found they have taken the edge off things in the past.

It doesn't happen overnight, your partner must have known for a while unless you done something wrong. Your heart will mend in its own time ones your over the hurt anger an grieving process. You can find rebound but you wont feel any better, Try to look to the positive things in life move ahead, dont let hurt stop you from eventually finding true happiness. The longer you wallowq in self pity the lonelier you become.

Anyone who loves you can't just stop 'overnight' unless you did something (or have been) that is totally unacceptable to them and you weren't the person they thought they loved.

And the answer you don't want to hear is.....

Time.

It takes time to get over someone you love. It helps it to go by faster if you keep yourself busy going out with friends, taking overtime at work or applying yourself more to your studies, etc. Finding a new partner also helps heal the heart. But it always comes down to time.

Please read this book "It's Called a Breakup because it's Broken"

I never thought that I would ever get over my ex and this book had the perfect remedies for a broken heart. I love it and it helped me. If you get a chance you can go to a bookstore or your local target anfd just read a few pages to see what you think, but it truly helped me. Be Blessed

Time will heal your broken heart. As you meet other people, this person will become a faded memory, someone you used to know. Don't beat yourself up asking a question about why they did it, give yourself closure and move on with your life.

Genuine love is endless. If someone tells you they dont love you anymore(regardless of the reason),they didnt really love you to begin with and even if the relationship didnt end badly,it would've dissolved eventually.

find yourself a good album and wait it out, sometimes knowing your not gonna be heartbroken anymore is worse than actually being it, so enjoy!
