I don't have any problems getting girls or nothing, but I have noticed that sometimes I have hesitated to approach a female that was looking at me or one that I was checking out, and then I ended up missing the opportunity and I never saw the girl again.

But when I go out with my friends, they always tell me that girls are checking me out and that I'm stupid for being so laid back, because I don't like to run up to every girl that just happens to smile my way.

So I want to ask the ladies, is it true that if you're checking out a guy and he checks you out too, and he doesn't come up to you right away, that you will then lose interest in him?

My dad's 55th birthday is coming up, and I am at loss on what to give him. He's a computer scientist and an avid gadget geek, so he has pretty much every latest gadget you can think of, including DV-Cam, GPS navigator, digital camera... he even has a fingerprint reader attached to his computer. So if it's a gadget, it needs to be something very original.

His other interests include: physics (he used to be a research physicist before switching to computers), detective stories (both in book and TV form, from Agatha Christie to 'Monk'), traveling to various historic and nature places by car and taking day hikes there... if I think of anything else, I'll add it in the details.

My budget for this is about $300 (flexible if it's a little over) -- it can be one thing, or a few.

Ideas?

I need answers, i meet this man he claim to be a godly man, he says he loves me and he wants to marry me. He is still married after 3 years, he is not with the lady, they both have not filed for a divorce but he do not see her. We have moved together and he has not gave up his place yet. Ok well there is this boy at my school who is the sterotypical popular guy/asshole/pervert. And he sits right next to me in 2 of my classes. Last year I absoulutly hated the guy, because he spread a horrible rumor about my friend wanting to have sex with him, but this year things have somewhat changed. I heard him saying that he liked me, and that he was going to ask me out, and i was thinking, "hahaha when he asks me i will say no loudly infront of everyone" And it looked like he was going to ask me out but i gave him a disgusted look and he said never mind. but then just realized what nice eyes he has. And to make the story short, somehow, along the way i have grown to like him...A LOT. Everytime i see him in the halls just look his way, i grow weak at the knees, and my insides freeze up. I would just ask him out but i know that he is an asshole, and i know that what he did to my friend was horrible, but how am i supposed to get over him?

I try to love people unconditionally...I think this is a pipedream. Only in very,very , very rare circumstances can I say that I love someone unconditonally. As i am getting older I am findind myself to be more and more jaded and less forgiving. I try with a deep passion to love others, but I often times have stipulations to that love. I would that number does not fill up one hand. That saddens me, but it is the truth. How many people can you say you love onconditonally?

Ok, theres this girl ...we have been very good friends for more than 3 years, and she likes me.
She has told me many times, and that we should try, etc.
her face is ok,but I dont like that shes a little fat.
I like her personality, shes sweet and she really loves me, but I dont like her body.
But I "love her" and I became fond of her, its just that I think I can love a pretty girl of my type the same way I love her, and I love her just because I havent tried with other girls that I really like.

of my family and boyfriend not getting along, here it is as simple as I can: Last year my bf and I went to visit my Mom and Dad/ bro. and sis. and the first night we were there everyone got really drunk, my brother kept asking me to go outside with him( I think to smoke a cig. but I quit 3 years ago) and I said no like 10x's he kept at it and my boyfriend got sick of seeing him ask me to go and my bf said to my brother to leave me alone.. now I don't remember this but my bf said that my brother and I were rough housing and my brother got me in a choke hold/ my bf did not like it and got in between us/ then my brother got all upset and was yelling at everyone and ended up pissed and everyone and held a knife to my sisters throat ( he would never hurt us he was just drunk and wanted a response) so my bf got him to settle down and my bro asked for a ride and my bf started driving him and a ways down the street my brother hauled off and punched our windshield in our car and my bf stopped
