of my family and boyfriend not getting along, here it is as simple as I can: Last year my bf and I went to visit my Mom and Dad/ bro. and sis. and the first night we were there everyone got really drunk, my brother kept asking me to go outside with him( I think to smoke a cig. but I quit 3 years ago) and I said no like 10x's he kept at it and my boyfriend got sick of seeing him ask me to go and my bf said to my brother to leave me alone.. now I don't remember this but my bf said that my brother and I were rough housing and my brother got me in a choke hold/ my bf did not like it and got in between us/ then my brother got all upset and was yelling at everyone and ended up pissed and everyone and held a knife to my sisters throat ( he would never hurt us he was just drunk and wanted a response) so my bf got him to settle down and my bro asked for a ride and my bf started driving him and a ways down the street my brother hauled off and punched our windshield in our car and my bf stopped

and told him to get the hell out of the car and he left my brother there, the next mourning came and everyone still upset about the whole situation and everyone was concerned that my bf dropped my brother off and no one had seen him all night/ my bf was so mad and my family was grilling him to go find my bro. and he said no. I didn't blame him he broke our car window ..so my bf and I ended up going camping up the mountains and we told our family where we were going to be and they were supposed to come and find us, well 2 days passed and no one came up to check to see if we were okay and the 3rd day as we went to go to my family's house they were half way up and acted like nothing and when I tried to tell them it was bull-crap they didn't come up like they said they would they acted like me and my bf were over dramatic about it, we ended up leaving while they camped and left back home a day earlier than planned to this day my bro. hasn't appologized for breaking the window and wont call

or talk to us, or pay for the window that he broke our whole family is upset but I can't call my bro. or my bf is mad and my bro won't call me even though i have asked several times for my family to ask him to ,
bottom line what should I do I am sick of being in the middle and not being able to have a normal relationship with my bro. and his family. ??? What can I do?

Okay, sounds like your family is the one with the problems - not your bf. Your bf sounds normal and your family sounds neurotic, I don't blame your bf for acting the way he did, he was perfectly in line. You need to tell your family that you aren't a little girl any more and that they need to respect you and your bf.
By the way, there is NO reason to ever hold a knife to someone's throat - I don't care if it's a joke or not.

It sounds to me that you really need to keep your BF and brother away from each other. And not only that, you should keep your brother away from alcohole. There is a problem there if he has to put a knife to your sisters throat to get some attention.
