I try to love people unconditionally...I think this is a pipedream. Only in very, very , very rare circumstances can I say that I love someone unconditonally. As i am getting older I am findind myself to be more and more jaded and less forgiving. I try with a deep passion to love others, but I often times have stipulations to that love. I would that number does not fill up one hand. That saddens me, but it is the truth. How many people can you say you love onconditonally?

Christ Jesus taught us unconditional love from the way He lived His life and how He died for all of us - with no strings or conditions attached. Christians are taught to not judge because God does the judging; Christians are told to love their neighbor as they love themselves. It's very hard to do. Without God's help, it is in fact impossible. That is why Christians have to call on God's help to have this love in their heart because human nature is selfish, prideful, and unforgiving.

Once you have children, you will experience love on an entirely different level, and perhaps you will understand the dynamics of unconditional love. It is said that the parent falls in love with their child when they are born, and it lasts lifelong - this deep rooted love that accepts your children, no matter what they do.

Just don't lean toward finding someone to place on a pedestal. We all fail, we all make mistakes and are not worthy of anyone's love, really. That is what the Grace of Jesus is! We are not worthy of God's love, but by Grace, do we receive His love!

Do not become disheartened. Stay with your great attitude; don't give up! People will always let you down; God won't.

I can say that I love my mom, 3 sons, a daughter-in-law and my fiance, her 3 kids and my two grandchildren unconditionally. Like yourself as I age I am finding it harder to trust others, and without trust there cannot be love. So my answer I suppose is 11 people of all the people I've come in contact with over my time on this earth

It's unrealistic and I know no one I'd romantically be interested in, would ever get it from me...there are almost always going to be conditions...it sounds lovely and romantic, but it's fairy tale stuff...

condtion: cheating
condition: lying
condition: stealing from me
condition: causing harm to my self, family, or friends

The list could go on...I would not LOVE someone who would do those things...ergo unconditional love would not be possible...

Between a parent and child? I think that's more realistic...

...but love doesn't have to be "unconditional" to be beautiful and wonderful and cause you to feel on top of the world...to me all unconditional means is that the person saying it, doesn't have much pride or self esteem, that they'd still love someone after that person may have done truly unloving things to them...

yes i think that you can have unconditional love, i mean look at God and his son and his people. God loved us so much that he gave his sone his bolld to go and die for us so that we a humens can be forgiven for our sin. no i am not a mother nor a father, but i am the oldest chlid in my family, when my step mom and dad were at work i would have to whacth the kids. i was about 16 when this started and my little brother was about 2 and i would have to take him anywhere i went,i basicly raise that kid until maybe 2 months ago when i moved out, but the dad i moved out it was hard beacuse though i got mad bout having to take him everywhere it hurt because now i not with him, i not the one doing everything for him and that hurts. and he not even my real borther this is my step brother and i think that is what unconditial love is. is where you love that person so much that it hurts. and i think that is a grate think and that y i think that there are so many couples that have been together so long. will thanks for listen and i hope that you find the anwser that you are looking for

I'd have to say, you can find unconditional love in a child. I have a four year old brother, I love him like he was my own. I've taken care of him at the age of three months, since my mother had to start going back to work. Every moment that I spent with my brother, it felt to me like I was a father. I'm also engaged as well, and finding unconditional love in my fiancee to me is really difficult at the moment, so I guess when it comes to finding unconditional love, the only way to find that, is through children.

I think unconditional love should only be expected in a parent/child relationship. Other than that its based on their behaviors. Its ridiculous to have "unconditional love" for you spouse who cheats on you. Hubby/wife relationships are "conditional" love. There are such things as deal breakers and if they violate those than they're out. Remember the 3 A's. Abuse. Addiction. Affair.
You can love people as your sisters and brothers of heavenly parents but you can CHOOSE not to put yourself in situations where you are vulnerable to be hurt by them. Hope that helps!
Just don't get bitter. Bitterness will make you into an ugly person. People are going to hurt you...all you can control is your attitude and your reaction. Your choice. Life is short...make it the best one you can!

dude, as you get older you should become more forgiving, not more jaded!! you need to realize all those things that bug you are just insignificant facts of life... bothersome yeah, but let em go.
but i do think unconditional love is hard... my daughter, that's someone i could never not love.... that doesn't mean that she could never go so far that i would always be happy and smiling and give her what she wants, i might have to put my foot down, and cut her off or do the tough love thing, but i will ALWAYS love her no matter what.... same with my parents and siblings, i could be mad at them, but i will always love them despite any problems we may have.
that's unconditional love. it doesn't mean that you will always do what they want, sometimes doing what they don't want is out of love, rather than turning your back on them and letting them go down that bad road that leads nowhere.

I do have unconditional love..it has to be someone very special..now my family..that is just a given..I love them with unconditional love..But there is someone with whom I have been friends with now for over 8 yrs..and I love him with unconditional love. Not everyone you come in contact with you can love that way...only certain people and you will know when it happens. You won't even have to ask..the answer will be there.

Personally, I believe that the only one you can love totally unconditionally is your child. No matter what they do, you will always love them. They disapoint you and you still can't help but worship them. It's hard to find that in a mate, though.
