I don't have any problems getting girls or nothing, but I have noticed that sometimes I have hesitated to approach a female that was looking at me or one that I was checking out, and then I ended up missing the opportunity and I never saw the girl again.

But when I go out with my friends, they always tell me that girls are checking me out and that I'm stupid for being so laid back, because I don't like to run up to every girl that just happens to smile my way.

So I want to ask the ladies, is it true that if you're checking out a guy and he checks you out too, and he doesn't come up to you right away, that you will then lose interest in him?

To answer your question above in the bold, it's completely true, but to answer your detailed question below, that's not entirely true, although hesitating usually kills any good vibe. Just keep that laid back attitude you've got. Running up to every girl you see can be annoying to most women.

Bottom line: Just go for the ones you find interesting, and screw what anyone else thinks.

Yes. girls are vain. You have to play a game of cat and mouse. Initially you must act immediately and say anything to them. Once you're there you then fall back into your usual laid back self and act as if you are uninterested. Because girls are vain, they are easily confused. We love them, though, so they should understand. Good hunting.

No, I don't necessarily lose interest, but if he doesn't express interest back then I probably won't continue to try to catch his eye or pay attention to see if he's trying to catch mine...

He'd have to make a more bold move at that point, because anything subtle would likely go unnoticed...

Of course its true, women want a guy that is confident and assertive. Women instincts are to feel protected and if you hesitate to talk to the girl their instincts say who know what else you'll hesitate to.

no, not true. just because someone is "checking you out" does not mean they want to start a thing. i look at lots of guys, but i don't necessarily evan want to talk to them.

You are right. We have very short attention spans and if you guys don't respond, we walk and will find someone else. Someone who is more worthy of our attention.
