I'm getting married next July. I recently moved away from my family. Most of the guests live 6-7 hours away. I think I should send out save the date cards to everyone who lives far away. My Dad (who is paying for the wedding) says I shouldn't waste money on that. Is it necessary to send out "save the date" cards. Would people be more likely to attend if they knew about it far in advance?

Someone sent me this:
You find a magic lamp and rub it. A genie comes out and grants your friend and you one wish each. Your friend wished he was more athletic and in an instant he grew muscles. Then you wanting to also be a jock wishes you were a varsity play and in an instant you feel light headed and fall to the ground. Your friend stopped flabbergasted there on the floor where you had stood was a varsity jacket. Your friend just sat in his computer chair stunned. He was a bit worry about it so the genie said the spell would last a week. You would change back at the end of the week. Your friend just sat in his chair for then next couple minutes staring at you wondering and worry over your new condition. With thoughts such as: how does it feel? What it like? These thoughts and others continued to pop into and out of your friend’s mind until he finally knew what he had to do he had to keep the Jacket safe for your sake. He has to wear you to school.

They say revenge is sweet! my ex alcoholic partner has cost me 3 jobs 2 homes my self respect and dignity even my sanity that it was me that had to have councilling and he was the ******* drinker.
I used to watch him sleeping so happy with his buzz, i have stood over him many a time with a knife just wanting to kill him but walked away. What fun would that be. The day i get my revenge on him i want his eyes wide open to see it coming and laugh in his face like he used to me when he hurt me mentally and physically.
Im not insane.. just angry

me and this guy have been best friends for 5 years. we have developed feelings for each other. last night we slept together and it was wonderful. He wants to be with me but is afraid to commit because he is in the army and feels that he can't be there for me cause he may have to go to Iraq. He gets out in 2008. He says he doesnt want me to wait, but he did say when he gets out that he will be ready to get involved with me. i love him so much and i want him to see that him being in the army shouldn't hold us back from being together. can anyone give me some advice on what to do?

here's the short of the story..he was divorcing his then-wife. we were good friends..we liked one another but nothing sexual. he's white/im black. and i think that difference scared him off cause I thought we had a great time...next thing you know..he starts meeting up with his sisters' other best friend ( i was the other best friend) and 2 months later..he moves her into her house and breaks my heart. ok my ex walked out on me 6 mth ago. fine ok i have wanted to accept that however heres what has happened and am i right to be confused of her true feelings?
i still love her want to work it out.
she says one minute she does not know if she loves me then says she does not love me.
she says she does not want a relationship ever again with anyone.
she says there is no chance, then turns round and says she sometimes thinks it could work but i done this and that so no.
she hangs around with this guy on the internet and says there is nothing in it i have tried to be mature and accept there just friends but even still they together online all the time she wont even talk to me except about the kids online.
she first said it wasnt over but i had to leave her alone?
she then starts out of the blue been friends with me again i mention this guy and she then says look dont bother?

am i right her and this guy is maybes in love even though they have never met?if not why would she do this?
