I am from Missouri and as you know there is a three day waiting period. Usually on the day you go in to apply for the license you can check with the judges and see who would be available to perform the ceromony and they will make you an appointment then three days later pick up your license go into chambers and you are done. My hubby and I found it was a lot easier to go to Arkansas and do it as their is no waiting period and the county we went to had a justice of the peace on call and would come to the courthouse. We went applied for the license got married and were on our way home within 20 minutes and the justice even took pics

I am from Missouri. What county are you getting married in? I got married at the Jackson County Courthouse in Independence. If this is where you are getting married and if I can answer any questions drop me a line at kidbusymom@yahoo.com.

Good luck!

The best thing to do is to call the courthouse and make an appointment for the civil ceremony in advance since these dates get booked quickly and, in St. Charles County at least, are only performed on one certain day each week. You can get your license up to 30 days before the ceremony with a minimum of a three day waiting period and a blood test is not required.

Good luck!

My Fiance and I thought about that.but were setting the money aside to get married.and have the wedding of our dreams.cause as they say you only get married hopefully once in ur life time. so why not have a big wedding and have a lot of good memories. weddings don't have to cost you and arm and a leg.you can have a wonderful small wedding that cost you about $5,000.00 or so. that's what I'm going to have. something small and with only my family and a few of closest friends.good luck and congrats

Go in and talk to the clerk of the court where you will get your licence, they will explain the details for "thier" court includeing days available, times available cost and more.

Also most court clerks will have lists of ministers who will do various types of service in your home or in the ministers home if you would prefer
