I have heard people say that a bridal shower is strictly for the bride and to get her something like lingere or something sexy and fun. I have also heard that you should get her something off her registry. The bridal shower invitation listed where she is registered. Am I expected to get her two gifts from her registry, one for the shower and one for the wedding??

My boyfriend proposed I said yes. I dont love him. He is a great guy compared to all the jerks I have dated before. He dont drink or smoke. He helps me take care of my 2 young kids. After my workout, I sit at a table near the climbing gym where he works. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see him looking at me several times while I'm taking a seat. When he looks away, I glance at him too, although he caught me once today. This has happened on a couple of occasions. I'm 30 and I think he might be 39 or 40 or something? I was seperated in 2003, divorced in 2004 and have had sex only 2x outside of marrige (since the divorce.) I am going nuts, is my sacrifice going to be appreciated by a future girl friend. I have turned down more sex than I can beleive- more that I got while I was married. At first it was out of not being over the ex. then it was turned down for respect for my future relationship. I cannot decide between two couples who my fiance and I would like to be our daughter's godparents. My brother and sister-inlaw live far away, but are both very good, responsible people (in their 30's) who we would want to raise our daughter should anything happen to us. The other couple is my fiance's brother and his long-time girlfriend. They are young (23), but are very mature and responsible people who I could see being very good parents to our daughter should anything happen to us. They live closeby (though not living with each other). My bro. and sis-inlaw just had a baby of their own and have said that they will probably not be able to afford to come out here for a baptism for a long time. The younger couple spends time with our daughter and are very good with her. Both couples are willing to be our daughter's godparents. What do you think about 2 sets of gps?

Why is it that widows/widowers are pressured into "finding someone new". ive noticed that a lot..and it bothers me. Why not just leave them be! if my wife passed and i was left here without her...that's IT. she is my soul mate, my bestfriend. she is THE one. so why is it that people pressure others (widows esp.) into re-marriying??
