Why is it that widows/widowers are pressured into "finding someone new". ive noticed that a lot..and it bothers me. Why not just leave them be! if my wife passed and i was left here without her...that's IT. she is my soul mate, my bestfriend. she is THE one. so why is it that people pressure others (widows esp.) into re-marriying??

OOOOOH. That is too sweet! I agree with you though. "The road to he)) is paved with good intentions." People may worry that others are lonely or are not capable of taking care of themselves. Some people are co-dependent and cannot fathom the thought of anyone being content by themselves. Marriage can be a great thing, but only if both people want it and are not pressured into it.

They dont want you to feel lonely , they are trying to find you company. You are right , It doesnt take another male or female to make you feel complete . There are other things you could do to accupy your time. Sorry bout your loss ! but happy she is not suffering in this world anymore!
