My son has abused me in the recent past, stolen money from me, stolen my car with a gang member and totalled it, cursed me out beyond belief, and now he is either home sleeping or off with his friends all hours of the night and morning. He's 17 years old and will be 18 in October. The law does not help at all. I've called officers to my home when he would threaten me and/or get so angry that I was feeling afraid, and they would tell me that they could not do anything and that I needed to stop calling them because they weren't family counselors. I called the Dept of Children and Families and they said that they aren't there for parents, only children and that he could not be removed from my home because of his violent criminal past. (I had him arrested when he picked me up and threw me through my closet doors. It is listed under domestic violence and therefore, only a misdemeanor.)

I do beleive in God. But I am struggling with one thing. If I were to divorce due to emotional and verbal abuse and lets say remarry the man that I would remarry would be committing adultry. IS there anything that say otherwise or is there any other answers to this. I belive deep down in my heart I have found my soul mate who can love me like there is no tomorrow. The problem is he said that he would be commiting adultry if he were to marry me and I am trying to find if there even is anything that says that he would be forgiven.

I have been dating a girl for nearly a year now and thing are great, but ...... now my ex wife wants to rekindle our lost love!! We were together for 5 years married for 2, and separated not out of unfaithfulness or anything funny but because she felt she didn't love me anymore. We have a son together. I was the one who got hurt and took an emotional bash in the head, but I survided and have been dating a gorgeous girl for almost a year now, and I love her dearly, but ...... I still really love my ex-wife too, we shared some really wonderfull times together. Me and a male friend of mine have been talking for the past 6 months. We're not together, but we've been playing the role for some time now. I've fallen in love with him and he claims to have strong feelings for me, but I have a lot of insecurities in our friendship. We are currently on summer break in college, but he still lives in the city where we attend school. He begged me to come down and visit him the entire summer, so I finally went last Thursday and stayed until this past Sunday. We had a great time, until I checked his e-mail, which is something I've been doing for a while. Comes to find out, he's sending and getting a lot of messages from females that live in the same dorm as me. I was not at his house when I checked it, but when I did, I quickly called him and told him that I was on my way over there. When I got there, I cursed him out and told him that we could no longer be friends because I heard that he has a lot going on in his life that I wasn't dealing with.

My friend is getting married next year. Her fiance's parents want to pay for only their guests, about 50 persons, while the bride's guest list amounts to 150. Is that fair to the bride's family or does that sound reasonable? After all, why should the groom's parents have to pay for her side of the family? Or am I wrong here? Are the costs equally shared when one side has three times as many guests as the other?
