Family & Relationships - 19 June 2006

I, the wife am responsible for the birthdays of 1 child, and 4 stepchildren, and almost 4 granchildren, along with Christmas, and other special occasions. I am responsible for bills, house cleaning, childrearing/homeschooling of our 8 year old child. My husb. is gone all week long and home for approx. 2 days each week. He is trying to start another business on the side so he works on this when he is home and tries to divide his time up so that he can spend time with us. I want to know what is fair as far as division of time and responsibilities because I feel drained after keeping the house clean, homeschooling our daughter, trying to keep her entertained and disciplined by myself and then trying to give my husband attention when he is home. I don't have ANY family where we live so I keep my friends around so I have some family for my daughter and I while my husband is gone. My husband is tired when he comes into town, therefore no friends. What do you think would be fair?

I have a gay friend who's attractive with an awesome personality. We're fairly close - we hold hands, give greeting kisses - stuff most close friends do. He says he's not attracted to females and no female can turn him straight. However, a few weeks ago he told me if he was straight, he'd want to date me. I didn't take him seriously, so I just smiled it off. Several days ago, he told me he wanted to become "straight" for a while to date me. He asked me to consider if I would date him in such case. I know that I'll get hurt in the end, but I can't help to notice that I'm actually starting to fall for him. However, he told our friend that he has no straight tendencies - yet, he constantly asks for my approval to date his "straight side." I curiously asked how many females he's asked this - he said he only considered two, plus myself. Is he trying to play a practical joke on me? How do I get over this?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year and a half. We recently moved in together. We have a great relationship and have been making plans to get engaged. However, there is an issue that makes me hesitant to take this next step. My boyfriend still has a nanny (he will be 22 this year). She is constantly interferring in our relationship. For example, she finalizes our travel plans if we vacation anywhere, where as I would feel more comfortable doing this myself. Furthermore, she even went so far as to call my parents after she had done this, to make sure that they knew where we were going. She also goes so far as to pick out the toothpaste we use, buy my boyfriend more underware, and other things of this nature. I'm not sure how to bring this up to my boyfriend without offending him. know this is more of an issue between my boyfriend and his parents, but is there anything I can do in the meantime? Thanks!

MY HUSBAND IS GOING THROUGH THERAPY FOR DEPRESSION AND IS DOING WELL. HIS MOTHER AND HIM HAVE BEEN ARGUING AND NOT SPEAKING AFTER HURRICANE KATRINA. IS this normal girls and how would you feel? Met a really nice guy and decided to make a go of it. He seems desperate to get me into bed, in fact overly desperate. But he has warned me under no circumstances must I show affection to him in front of friends, family or work colleagues! He says he's a private person.
2 weeks ago he threw me against a wall in town and very passionately kissed me. There must have been at least 50 people there but when I kissed him on the cheek in front of friends he did his nut and gave me a right bolicking. What do you think his problem is?
