I wrote this poem for my Dad for Fathers' Day. I don't know if he'll like it or not, since he's not the real poetic type. What do you think?
I'm writing these words
for Father's Day; for you.
It's a way of saying thanks
for everything you do.
Though you're not beside me
and youre not always there,
I know that you try.
I know that you care.
I want you to know
that I haven't forgot
about all the things you did for me,
everything you've taught.
I'll love you forever, Daddy.
From now until the end,
you're not just a parent,
but also my friend.
I'm not your baby anymore,
but I'm still your little girl.
Even if I could,
I wouldn't change that for the world.
Because I love you, Daddy,
from the bottom of my heart,
and nothing, nobody, could ever tear that love apart.
Have a happy Father's Dady, Dad.
You deserve it.
